A lot of problems with every scenario except leave it alone and play as is. Baseball and basketball playing at the same time would be almost impossible for small schools. Arm conditioning, field maintenance, scheduling, and weather would be a nightmare.

Actually this makes the most sense.

Arm conditioning?? Players are already playing.

Bad weather?? Actually September/October typically is better than April/May.

If you shut football down.  Then he needs to shut down travel baseball. No way that allowing 1000 people into a 7 year old coach pitch game. Is less dangerous then football practice.

Problem is that the school and TSSAA doesnt have a hand in that. In other words... it's why its allowed to happen.

All of this is ruining kids memories, in other news tho travel baseball, basketball, football, softball  will continue to happen all over the country. No way perfect game in Georgia will stop teams from all over the world coming in for their biggest tournament of the year or AAU tournaments

protests will still go on, but the common family can’t go enjoy their nights out

The way I see it is, just let us be free again. Let us live our lives without control! If someone doesn’t want to leave their house and live in fear the rest of their lives they can do that, but please give the rest of us a choice! The way I see it is I know where I’m going when I pass away and I will not live in fear! When it is my time to go, it is my time to go!

Exactly! The best time of my life wasn’t playing travel stuff. It was playing summer ball with my buddies I grew up with. I feel bad for the seniors, to just say nothing can be played is pathetic

A little common sense could go a long way. But days of common sense are over my friends. Play the games, allow family of the players and cheerleaders to be socially distanced from each other in the stands. If you are afraid stay home period. My daughter's boyfriend is a coach here in Florida, he says practice is a joke. QB's cant throw the ball to anyone, RB's have their own ball, they have to simulate the hand offs with the QB while never touching each other. If kids don't bring their own water or Gatorade they don't drink. It's insane but they are planning on playing this year. For now anyway.

Considering how much worse Florida cases are compared to Tennessee as far as numbers go, that says alot. Surely at the very least we could do the same.

    • QUICK UPDATE -  First, I see a lot of wrestling names that I recognize on that GoFundMe.  THANK YOU so much for helping this family.   After the long surgery on Sunday morning to repair his neck, Jacob suffered a collapsed lung.  Sometimes this happens after long surgeries.  They had to put him on a ventilator to get his breathing back on track.  He came off the vent on Monday morning and they put a BIPAP on him to help control his breathing.  As of today, Thursday, the BIPAP came off and he is breathing well on his own.  He is working towards drinking a glass of water and hopefully eating some solid food at some point in the near future. Jacob can "feel" when someone touches his legs, but there is still no movement.  His parents are beginning to prepare for him to be moved to the Shepherd Center in the next few days.  He will be there in Atlanta for 30-45 days.  Im sure he will receive excellent treatment. Please continue to pray for healing for him and if you are so moved, please contribute to the gofundme link above to help in any way you can.  The go fund me is doing well, but this is going to be a very long road for these guys Im afraid.. Thanks again! Sells
