The annual Brentwood Invitational will once again be held at Crockett Park in Brentwood, Tennessee on April 2-3, 2021. I know all of you are super excited to play this season... Many of us are still recovering from losing last season. So we want to make this the best tournament ever! We are capping our entry at 24 teams this year.  We ended up issuing around 6-8 refunds due to the season being canceled last year. Since this is Easter weekend, if you aren't in school we can start games early in the day on Friday. Many of you said you wanted to have your entry fee credited to this year! We will also have a gold and silver bracket again with separate trophies and all -tournament team members (including MVP awards for gold and silver). We will continue to have the best food around in our hospitality tent for coaches, officials, and administrators! We will also have gift bags for all head coaches! We will take the first 24 teams who enter so please email and let us know you if you're interested as soon as possible! Email me and I will send you the entry form and information sheet. Hope everyone's school year starts off great! Stay safe and healthy!

We are now at 20 teams! We have room for 4 more teams before we close registration! This year's tournament will have new games and prizes that we have never had before. Because we are capping the tournament at 24 teams, that leaves us time to have a homerun hitting contest, a bunting contest, and a queen of the diamond contest as well. The tournament starts on Good Friday, so more than half of our teams will start games as early as noon. This means we will finish early as well. Each of the competitions will involve prizes like gift cards, t-shirts, and other softball equipment! The cost to enter each contest per player is $25. Per usual we will have an amazing hospitality tent, great concessions, a trainer on site, and gift bags for all head coaches. The last four spots will fill up quickly so let me know now if your team wants to enter! Email me at erica.powell@wcs.edu. These are the teams who have entered as of September 7, 2020:

  • Dyer County
  • Tipton-Rosemark
  • Friendship Christian
  • Page
  • Goodpasture
  • Wilson Central
  • Summertown
  • Greenbrier
  • Stewarts Creek
  • Columbia Academy
  • Station Camp
  • Blackman
  • Ravenwood
  • Franklin

    • He may have possibly said that to get the best out of him. Back when I was in school word got out I was going to transfer and Coach Story popped off and ask Coach Wilson in front of the team if Maryville was going to get a jock strap in return on this trade. That got back to me and I got fired up and stayed just to show them up. Now today Coach Story is one of my best friends.
    • Dylan's Dad, I'm glad you replied. I wanted to reply but wasnt willing to take the bait. There were 20 wrestlers on the team. I may be mistaken and correct me if I'm wrong but I believe 5 of the 20 attend McCallie right now and one will next year. At most, there are/were 6 kids on that team who attend McC. That leaves 14 other team members who have ZERO affiliation with McC (outside of maybe some friends) who represented our state to the best of their ability and wrestled their butts off that weekend. That weekend was a first for Tennessee and obviously a small step in the right direction for us as a state. Congratulations TEAM TN BLACK!
    • Danny Wilson is the only one that come's to mind but I don't know where he is at now.
    • I am pro coach all day long but there are some knucklehead hires for sure.
    • This is a great question. The retirement seemed a little premature. I do not know the coach personally, but I hope he has found what he is looking for. He is a fine Christian man with a lot of principle and morals about him. I wish him nothing but the best. There are some players in the box for the next coach. This is going to be interesting to see how it plays out.
