Nolensville lost very little after last years state championship and are a good pick to win it all again. They are gonna see what they are made out of quickly though as they have Ravenwood and Brentwood week one of their schedule.

Portland should compete as always, but was just looking at their schedule and it is WEAK. They are gonna need to be tested and right now their schedule it cake. The toughest team I see is Station Camp and thats week one. They should roll everybody else.

Did you hear any NHS/RHS set scores as nothing was posted anywhere from what I saw?  Ravenwood starts slow every year and gels toward the end.  In 2019, Nolensville was 42-10 which included quality “AAA” and “AA” wins and close losses to very good teams.  They were ranked 10th among TN teams by other publications. Were more like #6 probably.  My bet is they will be more consistent this year against the high caliber teams.

25-19, 25-22, 25-12

If you are on Twitter, @cspullman (Charles Pullman with the Williamson Herald) is a must follow if you want not just volleyball coverage but all high school coverage for Williamson High school sports, Charles is a must follow.  He's usually covering all the big volleyball games.

Yes, I follow him! He has good info...

Camden finishes as runner ups in the "Welcome Back" tourney with their only loss coming against Watertown. They look to be a hair better than last year. Still gonna be tough for them to compete against the Nolensville's and Portlands in their side of tournament brackets.

White House Heritage finished 3rd. They are improved over last year. They have a freshman setter that is going to be very good when its all said and done.

District 12 should be interesting with Creek Wood who is much improved challenging Camden. In District 11 Portland is down a little it seems and White House Heritage is improving. Unfortunately those sectional games are brutal with loser having to take on Nolensville to get to state. All this said to say this - I just don't think its gonna be a cake walk for Portland to get back to state this year. Its why we play the game!!!!

Agree, it will be tough sledding for Portland, they lost a lot from last year.  Camden and Creek Wood are both really good so it will be tough.  Nolensville may possibly be the best team that Tennessee volleyball has seen in 2A, ever.  They are loaded.  Plus, they play great competition week in and week out.  Should be an interesting next month or so.

Nolensville is the second best team in Tennessee, in all divisions!

Portland does seem down. They lost their setter, libero, and main outside, which all 3 along with the big returning middle was the nucleus of the team. Nothing got past the libero. Outside was smart on the court. All 4 played defense well together. No tournament appearances either, so how are they really? Young and inexperienced? Really thought they would at least pull out a state appearance though. Maybe, they will figure it out.

    • Shopping? His family is loaded and he's 6'6 I'm pretty sure he could start anywhere in upper East TN,So no need to shop. • Quick update on Jacob -  Jacob celebrated his 16th birthday at Vanderbilt on Tuesday and has been in decent spirits.  His sense of humor has begun to show as he was visited by many friends.  He is swallowing a lot better now and has eaten some of his favorites (Chik-Fil-A and Five Guys).   He is getting prepared to head to Atlanta to the Shepherd Center first thing tomorrow morning.  His family has been waiting on insurance approval. In case you dont know the Shepherd Center it a world class facility and supposedly one of the best in the country for spinal injury rehab.  Praying for perfect results there. Considering the circumstances, Jacob is in decent spirits.  He has some reflexive movement in his legs which I think is probably a very positive sign.  Don't read too much into that just yet as there is no telling what the real prognosis is... just hopeful that is good thing.  I am really just happy that it seems like he has a punchers chance of getting something back.  He is a strong young man and very determined so I think he will fight as hard as he can in physical therapy while down in Atlanta. More than one of you has asked me about an address to send donations.  I know GoFundMe isn't for everyone.  If you want to go that route, you can make a check to "Blackman Wrestling Club" and we will pass anything received directly to the Kinderdines.   Jacob Kinderdine c/o Blackman Wrestling 4836 Trevino Court Murfreesboro, TN  37128 Also, want to thank everyone who has donated so far.  Jacobs dad will take a month off work and stay in Atlanta with him.  They need to learn how to take care of him and do home therapy work..... and surely Jacob will be glad his dad can be there.  All that could not happen without you all.  Depending on what happens, they will probably end up doing some home remodeling in order to accommodate Jacob at their home.  Thanks again. Here's a pic I lifted from Facebook of Jacob on Oxy talking to his Uncle.  LOL
