Can anyone give me a scouting report on East Hamilton?

Traditionally they are pretty tough. Their record isn’t great this year, but they have played a pretty stout schedule it looks like. I have not seen them play in person though. .

  1. Nolansville won’t drop a set unless their setter and defense let Fulton down.  She is the best player in the state AA.  It is her team and she knows how to win.  East Hamilton and Anderson County have size and athleticism but if the setter will keep getting the ball to Fulton, Nolansville won’t drop a set.  If the defense and other players don’t get her the ball it could be a different story.  She carries the team,  if she is off or if they don’t get her the ball Nolansville is beatable.  Fulton is a GREAT player but she can’t set herself or do it all, her teammates are going to have to step up and contribute.

Nolensville is far from a one trick pony. Rickert, Jenkins & Young can all hit the ball as well as Fulton. AA is fairly soft this year. If all of them had a bad night then there might be trouble For Nolensville, but they can beat most teams pretty easily with 2 of the 4 doing what they do.

Obviously there are some mom and dads on here.  Fulton is the key to Nolansville repeating.  She is heads and shoulders their best player.  If she doesn’t get the ball they are beatable.  Jenkins is ok, but not in the same league as Fulton.  The coach knows this and when they need a kill it goes to Fulton.  If the serve receive is not on and it disappears at times or the setter doesn’t get Fulton the ball enough they become beatable.  Their side of the bracket is weak even if they rest Fulton, they will Cruise to the semi finals.  My worry is if Fulton is not on, and they get stuck in a couple of rotations where FULTON is not on the front row, they don’t have anyone who can put the ball down.  Still, I think Fulton is strong enough to overcome weak games by her supporting cast and this is an easy repeat for Nolansville.

No need for Bratman’s comments to divide the team heading into tournament play. Last year, 2 underclassmen (OH Young and Libero Starcke) were named All-State so they were a talented group that helped Fulton win a State title. They should win again and hopefully she will contribute to this year’s tournament title.

Bratman must not attend many of their matches having misspelled the school and town’s name 5 times in his last 2 posts.

Nolensville would win state with or without her in my opinion.     They are a very solid and balanced team.    Love everything about them.  They would have probably finished second in 9AAA this year too.   I hope they win it again.

Agreed. They would def. be final four in AAA and yes, vie for a championship slot against Brentwood. I guess we will be talking about that *NEXT* year :-)

    • HVA is a dump and will never be good at football. It's a baseball school. Look at the types of homes being built and families moving in. Not football families. People will move in and look at the school and choose to play for another program. This issue has been snow balling for a decade now
    • Also no shot at an indoor facility it took ya'll almost a decade just to turf blankenship
    • You will not be able to replace Dozier he was a stud and wasted for years. Heyward started strong and then fell of but he will be missed still Rembert could fly and was also underused. Not being replaced. Track has started to close the gap with football. It does not help that the current AD is just stealing money(collecting his check) while the assistant AD is a XC/Track guy who always hated football. Current AD is too worried about not hurting anyone's feelings to do anything at all. Heck he is gotta be 70 plus and looks like a fool wearing kid shoes
    • Will Trez remain 2A after the influx of another 2A school?
    • As I said somewhere earlier in the thread, the original plans had no outdoor athletic facilities being part of the campus.  The original plan was for HVA to use facilities at nearby schools.  Very late in the process they came up with a plan and found budget to have minimal facilities and crammed them in to space that never was intended for athletic facilities.
