So, what have the Metro schools been able to do with their football players to get them ready to play? Any team activities around weight lifting, conditioning, etc.?

I'm curious as to how they are going to compete with non-Metro teams that will have already played 4 or 5 games before Metro football kicks off.

Been doing everything like any other year except playing on Fridays. At least we have!!!

Charger Fan, Will Covington play Sheffield ? It is on the schedule and they are Shelby County.

At this point, nobody knows. Shelby County Schools are supposed to decide this week if they can play football. And, if the answer is yes, then they have to decide on a schedule. They have a proposal in front of them to only play other SCS teams, then to play a County  championship, rather than be in the TSSAA playoffs. If they choose that proposal, the game with Covington would not happen.

Shelby County (Memphis) just announced that fall sports will be postponed until further notice again. While we are glad to see the other 94 counties across the lovely state of Tennessee play football on Friday night, the athletes of Shelby County schools are out. Hate it for the players that uses football as an escape and use football as a "only way out" for them and their family. Also hate for the bands, athletic trainers, and officials in Memphis that all play a role in order to make Friday Night Lights special. But Memphis is out.

So now that Shelby teams are not playing do you guys just sit for two Rds in the playoffs or the add teams that wouldn’t normally get in?
