Lots of mistakes on both sides of the ball. Thought Beech’s D played well after the first drive of the game. (Great coaching)  I’ll say it again, this Beech team can be really good, not there yet.  Lots of work to do in the passing game.

Agree, but it was a pretty dominate performance. Hendersonville really had no answer. The game was nowhere near as close as the score. This is still a pretty young team that seems to grow up a little more every week. The passing game is Jekyll and Hyde right now. Terrible tonight and at Powell, solid last week and at Henry County.

So Mondo pointed out if not for two penalties, Hville had two deep runs called back. I'd say in a 14 pt win that made a big difference.

that 3 headed monster in the backfield is going to do some damage as the season rolls on. and crabtree mixes them up well. Jefferson is clearly the lead back but Hill and Johnson are both studs. And all 3 are different types of backs so it’s hard to game plan for all 3. This is probably an unpopular opinion, but I think Hill may be the best pure back out of the 3. not taking anything at all away from the other 2, like i said they are all studs...but watching the way Hill runs and hits the holes is something to see.

don’t wanna take away from the RBs so i’ll post this separately.

The defense is also making big improvements. after a shaky start they really came up big down the stretch. and the DBs, which have been the weakness if there is one, have seemingly gotten better each week. this team is gonna be fun to watch come playoff time

I watched the game on TV. Every play. I couldn’t disagree anymore with this post. Those two teams are dead even! Hendersonville missed three field goals, moved the ball all night long, and had a very controversial kick return TD called back and a few other questionable calls go against them too. Take this from someone not associated with either program and just watching to enjoy a great high school game in the midstate. Both are good teams, and Hendersonville will go on to have a really solid season. In no way whatsoever, though, did Beech dominate that football game. Two very even teams.

Come on man. Hendersonville had one drive and a couple long plays. Beech gave them gifts to even be in the game. I promise the HHS coaching staff don’t think it was even.

Beech’s D should have been off the field on both scores. Held on third and long but had a late hit on the QB (and it was absolutely the right call) which led to the second score. Beech still had its share of mistakes and those mistakes are what stopped Beech. The score could have easily been 28-7 at half and could have easily ended up 35/42-14. Beech let them stick around because of mistakes. If they want to make a run, they have to eliminate some of those.

The defense looked strong last night and I agree this team looks to be built for November with that backfield.

We’re going to play the should’ve game?! Hendersonville should have had a kick return TD not taken back (based on the missed call per the replay) and a few field goals on the board too. Can’t play that game I thought? Now, the biggest question is are you a Beech fan/supporter?? If so, that explains your post and responses. It’s biased if so.

I am a Beech supporter and perhaps it is a little biased, but it is undeniable that Beech beat them consistently up front (after the first possession) all night. Did Hendersonville make some mistakes, certainly. With that, Beech is 2-3 TDs better on any night. These teams are clearly not equal. That said Hendersonville will be playing for a Region Championship week 10.

    • The winds of change are blowing in Hartsville.     Will be an interesting follow.
    • Did he promise you a coordinator job or something if he ever got a head coaching job? He resigned? He was at the top of the dugout last night calling plays. I wonder if those 30+ parents would let him give their kids a ride. by the way the board meeting was last night and it was not mentioned. must have been at the work session earlier this week which is not public. must be trying to keep it quiet.  Since you know so much, how much is Robbie Atwood willing to pay Adam Cothron?  Didn't you slander Eden earlier on here? You also didn't know he was a faculty coach again so how much do you really know? Some people outside this county baffle me with their need to slander others.
    • He resigned smh, and have you ever heard of charged but not convicted. Some people in this county baffle me with their need to slander others. Have you asked any of the 30+ parents that signed a petition to get him reinstated at the board meeting this week how they feel about this? Just let it play out, at the end of the day the only people that will bring TC back are the ones that know what its about at its core.    People hate losing and they aren't used to it at TC. I for 1, and I'm sure others too, understand having a dip in talent and not being able to compete for a state title every year. But in the past, TC teams have outworked more talented teams, they didn't continuously lose the turnover battle, they didn't commit 8+ penalties in several games each season, and I believe several of the folks in town that want Blake out feel as if he is neglecting the history of the program. This is from a source that used to be extremely close to the program (not me lol), Blake gets out of school midday and the players show up and there is no practice plan or itinerary.  I also understand those that are on team Blake, when he has loads of talent, he wins. He does know football and he is a tremendous DC, and if the rumors are true then he will do great things. As for the board member issue, it is what it is, everyone that's true to the county know that and nothing has changed. I agree though that they should strive to make the facilities as good as we can. And as far as potential candidates, I agree there is very few options. West, Vetetoe (yes I know), and couple others that could have some interest. Whatever happens is massive for the program during a pivotal time before the next big wave of stars make their way through.
