4A Wide Open?

Looking at the first few weeks of the season, is 4A as wide open as it has been in a few years. The teams to beat are still in NE TN until they are beaten, but Betsy had a close one tonight, Greeneville is still finding their way, and AC loses a tough one. I know it’s early but it does make for interesting talk. Tullahoma looks to be a force that will meet the best of the NE in the semis. Marshall County lost to them last week but one would think they will learn from that and only improve going forward

Looking at the west, Springfield has yet to be tested but their offense is as good as I’ve seen in years. Hardin County and Haywood will be their in the west as well. Springfield will face a big test in two weeks as they travel to Marshall County.

This year may prove to be as unpredictable and exciting as has been seen in 4A in a few years. I can’t wait to see it all unfold.

Elizabethton did not look like a Cookeville-bound team to me tonight, and after getting waxed by Science Hill tonight Greeneville looks even worse.    But of course it all depends on what the rest of the state has in 4A.     I would still rather see the gold come to NET but who knows....   plus you never know how the coronavirus is going to show up at the most inopportune time...

MC rebounded nicely tonight against Shelbyville 50-35. Game was closer than the score.

Anderson, Betsy & Greene will be around Come playoffs and I wouldn’t count out Sullivan South just yet either.  Out past Knoxville will be Springfield, Marshall County, Hardin County, and Tullahoma.

Betsy’s going to be a challenge.    Greene will improve and be ready.  Anderson County’s wanting their shot.   Springfield seems to shine the most when it counts, Marshall County will improve as the season goes along.   But Tullahoma looks be making some noise.   Should be some great football ahead of us.

    • QUICK UPDATE -  First, I see a lot of wrestling names that I recognize on that GoFundMe.  THANK YOU so much for helping this family.   After the long surgery on Sunday morning to repair his neck, Jacob suffered a collapsed lung.  Sometimes this happens after long surgeries.  They had to put him on a ventilator to get his breathing back on track.  He came off the vent on Monday morning and they put a BIPAP on him to help control his breathing.  As of today, Thursday, the BIPAP came off and he is breathing well on his own.  He is working towards drinking a glass of water and hopefully eating some solid food at some point in the near future. Jacob can "feel" when someone touches his legs, but there is still no movement.  His parents are beginning to prepare for him to be moved to the Shepherd Center in the next few days.  He will be there in Atlanta for 30-45 days.  Im sure he will receive excellent treatment. Please continue to pray for healing for him and if you are so moved, please contribute to the gofundme link above to help in any way you can.  The go fund me is doing well, but this is going to be a very long road for these guys Im afraid.. Thanks again! Sells
