The more things change, the more they stay the same. It is starting to look like it is going to be a race between Covington, Milan, and SGC. 

SGC has a leg down because of the early lose to Milan. 

I was going to say that (it's a 3-way race) but realize that Westview only has one Region loss, just like SGC. Do you think they can compete with Milan and / or SGC? They sure don't match up well with my Covington team, as we proved last night 48-0. Still, their QB is being highly recruited, so could they still make a push in 7-3A?

Game summary from the Daily Memphian:

Covington 48, Martin Westview 0: The Chargers, ranked second in the state in Class 3A, improved to 5-0 with a dominating defensive effort, holding Westview star Ty Simpson in check and allowing just 51 total yards.

Marcus Hayes paced the offense with 134 yards and three touchdowns while Jamarrion Dowell added 64 and two scores. Covington ran for 366 yards as a team, with EuMorrion Flowers chipping in 101 on 12 carries.

Covington has now won 10 of its last 11 games, dating back to a 53-6 victory over Sheffield on Oct. 24 of last year.
