Just don't see PC being in the equation this year??

We know most of charger nation don’t respect/like us which is cool for one reason or another but much respect to them. Their a well put team and running a offense that NOBODY wants to play against. Everybody has their own opinion. We got Hillsboro and East Nashville the week after. One game at a time BC we can’t even think about the playoffs yet. Good luck to both of u guys.

I'm glad you are getting to play Friday! I did not know that when I posted the above. The not being a factot was because the long delay getting to play.

Being to play changes things......Starting now, the Firebirds should be rolling by playoffs.  Good luck!

Charger Nation has plenty of respect for PC...I think that when we played y’all in 2017 up there, a PC fan came to the Covington stands and taunted all the Covington fans very disrespectfully and many fans remember that specifically....but I know that was one goofball and doesn’t reflect y’all’s team....those kids are generally hyped up before and during the game but always sportsman when the final horn sounds!

If you didn't get to watch this game on Live Stream, here's the game article from the Covington Leader:

https://covingtonleader.com/sports/covington-rolls-through-sixth-ranked-westview-and-its-star-quarterback-with-ease/

The article says in part:

Covington rolls through sixth-ranked Westview and its star quarterback with ease

Those who attended Friday night’s matchup in Martin between Westview and Covington who were hoping for a competitive game between two teams ranked in the state’s top 10 left disappointed.

Covington’s defense held highly-touted Westview quarterback Ty Simpson to just 34 passing yards and Covington’s offense ran roughshod through yet another defense en route to a 48-0 Region 7-3A win.

The Chargers (5-0 overall, 2-0 region), ranked second in Class 3A, finished with 407 yards, compared to just 51 for Westview (4-1, 1-1), which entered the game ranked sixth.

    • When Danny was a senior he was the quarterback on the 82 team and also the placeholder on extra points. At the end of the game Heritage scored a touchdown with very little time left and went ahead 9-0. On the following extra point Danny rose up and threw a perfect pass to one of his receivers which made it 11-0 and Heritage's first win against Maryville since the series started in 77. Maryville fans were highly ticked off because they felt like it was rubbing salt in the wound. The following year when both teams met again at Maryville  the Rebels ran away with the game and after the first couple of touchdowns they went for two points after each score for a pay back and the score was 45-0 at halftime. The following Monday Bob Gilbert the sports eiditor for the local paper bashed Maryville in an article called the Humilation of Teenagers and tore into Maryville even though he was a graduate of the school. Those were the good ole days when Heritage had decent teams and the rivalry between them and Maryville was a fun event to see.
    • I get all that.  And I agree too.  However, if the coach is only there to coach that would give them more time to do those things. The school system and booster clubs combine and pay them.
    • 3 sides to every story….Someone getting kicked off for saying the F word then it seems maybe your star player? Probably was the last straw.
    • who cares good luck to the kid. Hopefully he finds peace at MV.
