Ok that makes sense. It could be 4 unsportsmanlike and 2 personal fouls. Either way all 6 of those penalties are under your own control.

as for the rest of this post I don’t think it’s directed at me but I have no idea what you are talking about if it Is directed my way.

Not directed at you, but at another fella in this thread battling an recurrence of his “little brother syndrome”

6 unsportsmanlike penalties?  Wow...very indicative of a bad team culture.

It sounds as if you're implying that either the HC teaches that behavior or allows it, and I can assure you that neither is the case. Stroup has never/will never tolerate inappropriate behavior from his team. He regards it as mental weakness. Not here to make excuses, but game situations such as have been described often trigger such reactions... that alone will not save them from the wrath of Coach for losing control of their emotions. Bet that.

Sounds right. To be honest just never seen it in football.

Spoke to an official today that works at my school. He told me there is no penalty for calling the timeout. He said the crew has one official assigned to write down timeouts. If a coach asks for one and they are out they get ignored and if the play doesn’t get off in time a delay of game penalty is called. Apparently that did not happen here.

I will watch it again but i think you might get some of the many calls against USJ as unsportsmanlike but were another call.

Anyway that group of officials have been suspended by TSSAA

The entire group of officials suspended?  I would suspect possibly the sideline judge that y'all were chirping about all night got suspended. Highly unlikely to suspend an entire crew of officials, especially with the statewide shortage.

I'm glad this rivalry is back. It's more fun when JCS, TCA and USJ all have good teams. I just wish the game Friday had been at JCS so we could've given it a cool nickname like the "Country Club Lane Screwjob."

Maybe we still can..."The Flag-Timeout Continuum", "The Fourth Timeout of the Flagpocalypse", "Four Timeouts and 27 Flags Ago..."

I guess even a blind eagle can find a win once a decade or so!

Y'all got punched in the mouth and you just can't handle it.

The officiating was really bad.  Most USj fans are more disappointed in the non-calls and the ball spots.

The kid official had no malice towards USJ, he was just immature and not very knowledgeable.  I hope he comes back in a couple of years and officiates (not USJ games) for the next 40 years.

The entire crew just had a bad game in a big game setting.

One team would have come back the next day to play again and one team felt like the stole something.  Which one is JCS?  jC is a fine team with good skills players but that is not a team that is going to punch many people in the mouth.  Maybe close line somebody but not hit anybody real hard.

    • hey goat! how’s monterey looking this year?!
    • several people actually. they said “snoball, do you know who railbird81 is on coacht?” I said, “never heard of her.” they said, “you ought to check it out they’re getting fired up on there like the old days.” well, you can imagine my disappointment when I came here expecting sharp, witty banter and all i found was more akin to toddlers slap fighting. and what looks like 1 guy/gal talking to themselves with multiple accounts.
    • Shopping? His family is loaded and he's 6'6 I'm pretty sure he could start anywhere in upper East TN,So no need to shop. Word is Witten got caught trying to work him out on campus and some 7 on 7 while playing athletics for Sullivan East. Word got around pretty quick and Someone turned them into TSSAA.
    • Quick update on Jacob -  Jacob celebrated his 16th birthday at Vanderbilt on Tuesday and has been in decent spirits.  His sense of humor has begun to show as he was visited by many friends.  He is swallowing a lot better now and has eaten some of his favorites (Chik-Fil-A and Five Guys).   He is getting prepared to head to Atlanta to the Shepherd Center first thing tomorrow morning.  His family has been waiting on insurance approval. In case you dont know the Shepherd Center it a world class facility and supposedly one of the best in the country for spinal injury rehab.  Praying for perfect results there. Considering the circumstances, Jacob is in decent spirits.  He has some reflexive movement in his legs which I think is probably a very positive sign.  Don't read too much into that just yet as there is no telling what the real prognosis is... just hopeful that is good thing.  I am really just happy that it seems like he has a punchers chance of getting something back.  He is a strong young man and very determined so I think he will fight as hard as he can in physical therapy while down in Atlanta. More than one of you has asked me about an address to send donations.  I know GoFundMe isn't for everyone.  If you want to go that route, you can make a check to "Blackman Wrestling Club" and we will pass anything received directly to the Kinderdines.   Jacob Kinderdine c/o Blackman Wrestling 4836 Trevino Court Murfreesboro, TN  37128 Also, want to thank everyone who has donated so far.  Jacobs dad will take a month off work and stay in Atlanta with him.  They need to learn how to take care of him and do home therapy work..... and surely Jacob will be glad his dad can be there.  All that could not happen without you all.  Depending on what happens, they will probably end up doing some home remodeling in order to accommodate Jacob at their home.  Thanks again. Here's a pic I lifted from Facebook of Jacob on Oxy talking to his Uncle.  LOL
