South Pittsburg Needs Games Sept 25 and Oct 2

Thank you sir! That makes sense to me. Can't say I blame giving up a home gate. On that note - anyone know if SP is negotiating the gate in an instance like this?

I see their open date on the original schedule now - they had two, one early and 9/25. I asked earlier - have you guys offered to negotiate gate? Fyffe - SP would have been a monster.

It would have been a monster gate... no question Fyffe is a great team and probably would have been the favorites to win. They did not give a reason on backing out besides the fact they were able to get a home game instead of traveling from what I was told.

Fyffe agreed to come to SP last Tuesday. They called SP and we accepted. It was a done deal. Our backup plan was Greeneville. We thought Fyffe was solid and was happening. It was going to be announced Friday night after our game. When they called and backed out Friday morning it was too late to schedule Greenville as well. The Fyffe coach and the Clark County coach are friends. So that was that.. It would have been a great game and brought us a huge gate.

Well, I'm guessing that it is now too late to schedule a team for this Friday. There's not going to be enough time for film study and to prepare

What about Oliver Springs? They don't show a game this week? Not sure if TSSAA will allow 11 games in regular season since that appears to be their only bye week.
