Lake County @ Westview

#2 Lake County (2-0) is coming off a bye week and #6 Westview (4-1) is coming off a defeat by Covington.  This game has been nominated as a Tennessee Titans Game of the Week with voting starting on Monday. Will this game be a shootout like last year?  Let the conversation begin..........

I’m going to take it that Covington is good this year. Westview trounced last night. If I’m not mistaken, isn’t Ty Simpson the QB for Westview?

Yes he is. Covington is very good. Westview had less than 70 yards of offense thru 3 qtrs last night.

Westview got beat by a better team last night. Westview didn't play a good game at all and alot of that had to do with Covington and some had to do with some players being scared! Ty Simpson is a great QB but yes he needs some kids to step up in the tough games and they didn't last night. Westview needs to change a few things and I believe it will happen. Hoping for a good game against Lake Co. but Westview is going to bring it for this game. Go Chargers!!!

Westview 49-12. Easily! Back to playing lessor teams. Westview easily wins the next 4 like they did the first 4 against weaker, lessor teams, smaller towns until they get hammered by Milan as they did by Covington. You ALWAYS ALWAYS have to look at opponents, the competition and not the record. A 4-0 against perennial doormats is not a true & legit barometer. One 5-0 record is not equal to another 5-0 record or even a 2-3 or 1-4 in many circumstances

Lake County isn't your typical small town football team. Westview may very well win this game but LC give them all they want. Since when did Westview become a powerhouse in 3A. They are average at best in 3A. I just don't understand the hype surrounding them at all. Westview is supposed to win this game but to completely say that Westview is dominant is a joke. With that said I expect LC to play hard and if they can avoid the big plays and control the clock it just might be a game. I hope Westview will continue to schedule the little ole 1A team from Lake County after their hero graduates. I highly doubt that will happen.

Ouch. Covington must be the real deal for holding the leading passing attack in this area to that low of a number. Don’t wanna say get too far ahead, but could this Covington team make some noise in Cookeville this year?

I agree.LC has a soph rb and freshman qb that will be studs.Good looking juniors on this years team.Watched the middle school play Halls a couple nights ago and Lake Co win 54 to 6.Running back scored a out every time he touched the ball ,qb looked very good.Receiver is very talked and looks like high school kid.Several big lineman.So they will be behind the sophomore rb and freshman qb so skill position is great shape next 5 years barring anything unforseen.Think LC will win state within next 2 years

Announcers had Cov penciled in against Alcoa.Said they are that good

Westview played nobody that had any pass protection once so ever !!! But Time will tell ! I get it Covington is really good but come in they didn't even fight rolled over and died for em ! You can't tell me otherwise ! And if your players quit because they get punched in the mouth by ANYONE and quit cancel your season !!
