Covington @ Ripley - week 6

I know what Covington is doing on offense. The Chargers are averaging 300 yards rushing  per game. If we throw the ball, it's only 5 or 6 times per game. 

I would like to know what Ripley is doing this year offensively. Are they still depending primarily on the running game?

They'll(Ripley) be doing nothing tonight. Other than absorbing that Cov Rushing Blitzkrieg and waiting on that running clock.

I hope you are right. It's a little over 3 hours til kickoff.

Covington up 26-0 with 2:20 left in 1st half

Chargers have thrown 2 passes and both went for TDs.

Well, Covington continues to run the ball well. And, QB Carson Ruffin is throwing the ball very efficiently. As far as I recall, he only threw 3 passes all night, but they all went for TDs.

Covington's D did have a breakdown on one play in the second half. Ripley's #11 made a really good run and scored from 40 yards out or so. Then, late in the game, Covington's O fumbled a pitch on the Option and Ripley scooped and scored a TD on that miscue. Those mistakes will give Coach Kirby some teaching points before the next game.
