Newspaper takes a stab at DII classification

Don't know if all have seen a certain sportswriter's attempt at the new regions.  I don't know if he can be named or the paper that employs him.

They are guessing, but this would simply swap BA\FR for JP2\MBA.  LOL

Original plan was for Ensworth, Ryan, and BA to move to the West and MBA and JP2 to swap back to the East.

So are we all just assuming the cutoff will be 550 or so, and Ensworth, BA and MUS will play up?  Unless I am missing something, here are the top 23 D2 schools with enrollment according to the TSSAA (Current D2AAA teams in bold).  There is a natural break between CPA and Notre Dame (448-368).  If the cutoff was somewhere in there, that would leave 16 teams in D2AAA.

I can see Lipscomb Academy moving up.  I think Dilfer is on a mission! I don't know about CCS and Webb of Knox and besides seeing the scoreboards, very little insight into their programs.  CPA has repeatedly shown that they can play at the next level.

Ahh, yes, I should have caught that.  The low number didn't make sense.....

How do they account for the all boys schools?  Double the enrollment 9-12 the grade?

I hope Ryan stays in the East selfishly.  Closer and more scenic drive than going west ....no offense to the people in the West.
