They aren’t in the public school ranks, so they can recruit all they want - I have no issue with it.  At least they are open and out with it - unlike some others.

Open...yeah, took a move to the private school conferences...but spent years competing against public schools....recruiting....etc. Oh well, happy to seem Catholic getting man handled by schools that recruit and offer scholarships.

Yep, Covid has found the Rebels.  It looks like the affected players will be available for playoffs if all goes well.

Well hopefully the players that can play will make this a game and they dont get hurt in the process with so much more at stake down the line. As someone said earlier props to Coach Brown in making this matchup happen, but it really wasn't needed especially with playoffs about to start.

Go West

yep as Coach Fullmer would say: "Kadoos" to West for playing this game, especially with the loss of several key players.  Hope for an injury free contest.  Go Rebs

I think we can give Catholic some credit!! West was only missing three starters one of which was on defense.   Catholic would’ve win either way.   They dominated. Good luck to west rest of season. D-2 private is a different ball game week in and week out.  Catholic proved that Friday night. Defense dominated and Offense threw for 256 yards. Give credit where credit is do.

Probably so - but let West have it’s starting QB in the lineup and let’s have Catholic play their backup QB and let’s see how that game looks.  Powell put up as many yards as Catholic did - and West managed to win that one.

Seriously though.  I just figure out who this is.  This is a fun game.  Go back through the previous posts on his profile. It's really obvious.  Hilarious

    • From my understanding, Jay Graham pretty much took over HC responsibilities in that game, so you can thank him. Cute Andy didn’t need help, though. Cute Andy could’ve beaten us without any assistant coaches.
    • Tax payer dollars are paid for certified teachers to "teach" and then coach. The primary job is to teach.  There are some district that ay awesome supplements and others that don't. Dyersburg and Dyer County are pretty close if I remember correctly. I would imagine that Football and basketball are above $10,000 now.  I've heard that Milan is $20,000 for boys basketball. I would imagine that football is more than that in Milan.  Collierville has camps that coaches get paid extra for. 3 camps a year, 100 kids a camp, $30,000 right there.  There are places like Memphis-Shelby County schools where the supplements are garbage even for the head coaches. I made less than $3,000 as the head assistant at Germantown in 2015 when we were 26-4 and one of the best teams in the Southeast. As a head middle school coach next year I will make between $4-5,000 at a municipal in Shelby County.  Coaches should be compensated for the jobs that are required but lets keep in mind that they are educators first.  It's pretty frustrating to other teachers that work their tale off teaching 6-7 classes a day to watch someone roam campus, not teach (or have very minimal responsibilities), and get paid the same (more with supplements) as a person who has the some years of experience or sometimes less.
    • This will get coaches leaving the profession very quickly if this kid wins this case. This is absurd...
    • yeah money aint right there anymore
