Batman is running off of very little sleep this week,so I'll try to post and make atleast a tad bit of sense with or without the spelling deficit. This should be a heck of a game .Thanks to all the fine fans from Alcoa and Maryville over the years for the good coacht and in person football fun . I've always said that if any school had an ounce of your teams success ,many of their fans would probably be unbearable. You guys handle it with a lot of class.I understand that some of you  have had to set the record straight  with a few jealous posters over the years but then there are easy going guys like Stars who are brilliant in how they do it without hardly ever offending someone.Like years ago at a state job I had and my supervisor asked why I didn't want to be a manager like her instead of just doing lowly work the rest of my life.I also had a business for 15 years and for 6 years kept my state job and worked for Eastman so I  didn't want to be tied to a normal day shift just to get those state benefits. My answer flew right over her condescending  head." Frankly,I couldn't afford to do your job". She thought I was saying I wasn't capable or something but I knew I made a whole lot more money then she did. Stars does the same thing with his play on country words but he is as sharp as they come.

Your right, it's a huge place but I do know Jackie, super nice lady. She works in the lab in a another building I started in 25 years ago. Haven't seen her in a few months because of Covid and we don't travel back and forth as much, but you couldn't ask for a finer person .I don't know Todd Daggs , unless it's someone I've spoken to and just didn't know his name.

Ha,my first car when I was 16 ,  was a beautiful Red 396 1970 Chevelle .I was working at a grocery store and paying my stepdad  25 dollars a week and I had given him a thousand by the time the following happened..My first speeding ticket was 84 miles an hour in a 55.The next time I got one the state trooper didn't show up for juvenile court and the judge ask me." Son how fast was you going this time and I said 73 in a 45 sir.He said ,your slowing down aren't you Son ! I said yes sir ! but then he ask how much he charged me the first time and I said 10 dollars sir. When he said this one will cost you more,my mom smiled. He then said 15 dollars and I smiled. The last laugh went to mom.She took my car and gave me the money back. They then  let me buy a light green 1974 Ford four cylinder Pinto for exactly 1000 dollars.Top speed was about 60 until the engine blew in six months and I got Three hundred out of it .

    • good points. I guess the question is do the coaches need to be out of the classroom and get paid for just coaching. maybe move the coaching jobs to just coaching and no teaching. that would open up the coaching ranks to some good coaches that are not qualified to teach. Then you could do contracts and pay them whatever you want to pay them. move the positions to contracts.  Just like college. Thoughts?
