Much much more successful in the recent 7 or 8 years! Annual playoff team and made two trips to the quarterfinals. Hosted numerous playoff games. Had quarterbacks and receivers break state records. Sent many to play college, including multiple to Division I schools. The consistency, which started around 8 years ago, is certainly there. It should continue too. Many, many programs around the state would love to have that consistency for a long while. Just saying. I’m sure, as with any good program, they will set lofty goals and continue to try to improve too. Never settle. But they’ve been pretty solid, specifically on offense, for a good number of seasons.

And they will continue to do many of those things because they do have athletes year in and year out.  I wish my school could achieve some of those same things you mentioned.  I think we could match athletes but coaching , community and in school support not so much.

Well said. Never know? It takes some special players, a great coaching staff, and the community coming together behind the program. It’s a process. Once the success starts happening, then more and more kids will come out and the youth and junior high programs will follow suit. It’s a trickle down effect in my opinion. Starts with good leadership obviously and goes from there. Good luck though...and definitely keep the faith! Shelbyville was in bad shape about 15 years ago. Rock bottom!! Then, things gradually got rolling.

Really is a shame this happened. I know emotions are high but the coach's have to provide guidance and teach players to keep their emotions under control. A mad/angry player isn't going to perform. Fundamentals fly out the window at that point and they only hurt the team by not playing within the scheme.

Lol.  I watch his show and really enjoy it.  He does a great job and He is from that area. He never claims to be an unbiased reporter and I think him being an honest guy like I believe him to be that he would even admit to having a biased towards his home town teams.

You can be biased towards a team and it not affect your judgement. In the times I've talked with Mike, I've never once thought the teams he favors affected his knowledge/judgement. Maybe you'd be better off sticking to the facts than slinging accusations all over the place

I have video of the incident but not posting yet due to a player who was injured in the fight. After TSSAA reviews the incident this week and makes a decision on suspensions I am sure you will see more videos come out

I heard that the Coach that was escorted out never left the sideline. If that’s true why was he signaled out?

Bias doesn't effect judgement.  Whatever you say.

Maybe But you are also a very biased fan and supporter

First off, I did not go to Shelbyville, and did not have any kids at Shelbyville.  I actually hated Shelbyville growing up because I went to Unionville (just got to know the history).   Whether I support a team of not has nothing to do with what I see on the field.

I think you do a good job in being fair to the teams you cover.  I also don't recall you ever saying anything negative about anyone that you cover which I respect.  ao I am not saying you are unfair to anyone or have done anything wrong.  I do believe you have have a boas and favoritism towards Shelbyville.  In fact I believe you mentioning on you show that you live in the area.  Anybody that does what you do on live streaming would want their hometown team being successful for that purpose.

Just because he’s local and respects the kids and coaches doesn’t mean he’s biased. He does a very fair job talking about Shelbyville. He’s already said he believes nobody will beat Summit with Keaton Wade returning. If he was biased he would not say that in relation to Shelbyville. He also correctly projected that Shelbyville would struggle early for a few logical reasons before they got rolling. He was spot on. Again, no evidence of bias. Just because he thought the Puckett hire was fantastic was not a biased comment. He loved Puckett and had him on his show numerous times when he was at Lake County. Wherever Puckett would have ended up, Mike would have correctly said it would have been a great hire! Good coaches are good coaches regardless.
