Incorrect. The superintendent and I believe the principal have already explained that the football team will not be effected. Teams that have virtual classes are allowed to play all over the state. They stated the shutdown at Oakland High School is due to a big shortage in substitute teachers.

That is great and thanks for detailed info. I hate to see anymore teams dropout, especially playoff teams.

That’s a big negative. I just simply read the article in the DNJ. It spells everything out perfectly.

Lol.....I would seriously doubt sportsguy22 is the AD.  My guess is that the AD at Oakland is avoiding social media of all sorts.  His mouth already got him in trouble once this year with the TSSAA

I was not sure since his post stated "the Superintendent and I". He seems to be an authority on every thread of this website.

“The superintendent and I believe the principal”. That was what I said. It had zero to do with me. I was simply relaying the story I read in the paper. I am not an authority...just a passionate Tennessee high school football fan with strong opinions and I enjoy researching/keeping tabs what all is going on in the game.

My question is what is Taylors health like. He looked gimpy and hobbled against Riverdale. Frankly, I don't think they did him any favors playing him hurt. Oakland should win this game, but the real question is how long will they leave Taylor in. I think that will really determine what the playoffs look like for WC.  I didn't see enough diversity offensively to see them getting much past 1st round... especially with Taylor hurt.

    • Yeah, you might be right. We will see what happens. Should be interesting.
    • None taken ever. I just gotta believe that AC started the fire on this. Small towns talk clinton is a small town. They may have not been the official one to put ink to paper but I am sure they are the ones moving the pieces here.
    • No offense intended,  but I will take the word of an actual administrator in that system on that question.
    • My guess is, this has absolutely nothing to do with athletics. I could be completely wrong. Just going to let this play out over the next few days/weeks before throwing accusations around. Funny how when OR benefits from “transfers” it is because of the incredible school system and never for athletics because most people can’t afford the “tuition”! Going to be interesting to say the least.    And if AC is turning anybody in, shame on them. They have benefited and work the system more than most over the years.
    • I think if either were their own school system then it wouldn't have happened. Of course a lot will make sense if they student who got their grades changed was an athlete
