Congratulations to our coaching staff and players for their 2nd straight region title.  Good plan by the coaches tonight and mostly good execution by the players.  Had to overcome a lot of mistakes on offense and in special teams but the guys made plays when they had to.  Defense was pretty solid all night and had big interceptions by Stevie Mack and Brent Rowe.  Rowe had over 120 yds rushing and along with Ellis Ellis’s 2 long TD runs in the 2nd half made the difference.

Key factor for Hville tonight was time of possession. In the first half they ran 39 plays. I think MJ had in the low teens. That made a difference in the 4th qtr. Rowe kept pounding inside and then Ellis broke the exact same play twice and on the 2nd one made a nice stiff arm to break the final tackle. Great job Commandos!

I don't know if I would go that far Golden. Your defense is pretty tough and if you are the #2 seed they have to come to you.

You don’t understand, OUR OFFENSE CAN NOT MOVE THE BALL. Terrible QB, bad Oline, and horrible offensive play calling. We have no chance. I hate to be negative Nancy, but these kids just don’t have it.

It was 12 plays to be exact. No defense can sustain consistency being on the field that long. Like I’ve said many times before our Qb, Oline and play calling have ruined this season. It’s almost comical the interception rate he has when throwing the ball. Reminds me of the high school version of Vinny Testaverde.

What happened to the Freshman that played on Fridays last year? I thought he was a really good player.

Thornberry?

    • Yep..could possibly have 3 teams ranked in top ten in the same four team district.
    • He had an opportunity to be the OC at TC without final say in the offensive gameplan. How does that work? Smh. Head Coaches are public figures regardless of the community size, and yes there are some out there, it’s irrelevant and not fair to them to name them on here. Also why is said “head coach” the head coach of the MS baseball program to begin with? Oh because no one wants it. As for the Lebanon question, I know what I’ve been told so just going off here say, some of the boosters were not happy with his roster decisions and wanted him out. Although he lead them to 20+ wins in multiple seasons
    • A head coach in the school system? No I dont think so. Head coaches are public figures in small communities. Not trying to slander, but this is an actual question. Do you know why he was forced to resign at Lebanon? This was his second chance.  He already left trousdale once and had an opportunity to come back a couple of years ago but spoiled that.
    • Are you perfect? Nope no one is, at the end of the day there are several teachers/coaches and even some in the Trousdale County school system that have DUI’s on their record. You’re correct on it being a bad mistake and it unfortunately could have ended horribly. While you consider the consequences minimal, I can assure you they are not. Ultimately I hope and have faith that he will learn from it and use it to better himself.
