PROPOSED 2021-2023 REGIONS

In 3A Giles County goes to Region 4.  Smith County and Jackson County go to Region 5 to play with Metro.

In 4A DeKalb County and Macon County go to Region 4.  Marshall County, Tullahoma, and Lawrence County go to Region 5 to play with Metro.

If I said that this was confusing that would be a major understatement.  It certainly seems that the same rules do not apply for classifying schools in different classes.  The TSSAA was not consistent here.

Only question is who would they move that makes since.

About the only one that “remotely” makes since is putting Lawrence county in region 6. It still leaves 8 in that region and makes for a long road trips for LC when you play the Jackson teams.

My Indians Got hoodwinked.  Why all the shifting and change?  That’s crazy to make people have to drive that far. I see a petition coming.  Several others where moved for what reason?  Grundy?  Meigs in 2A got shifted around for what reason?   I bet this list isn’t finalized.   Any options?

Meigs went to region 3 because we lost Cumberland Gap to region 1 and picked up Monterey & York. Meigs us better off in region 3 travel wise

I agree with Meigs that is almost like the old Reg. 3-2A in the mid to late 90's when Sequatchie was in there along with Meigs, Polk, Tellico, Tyner and I think Bledsoe.

It just makes no sense to send Sequatchie & Grundy two & half hours west on the other side of I-65 or for that matter Giles that far east.   It will cut down on gate money at all those schools as most fans will not make that trip.

A trip like that would also put buses getting back to each school at well after midnight.

They should put Jackson & Smith back in Reg. 4 and put Giles in Reg. 5.

I agree. We need to petition.

    • QUICK UPDATE -  First, I see a lot of wrestling names that I recognize on that GoFundMe.  THANK YOU so much for helping this family.   After the long surgery on Sunday morning to repair his neck, Jacob suffered a collapsed lung.  Sometimes this happens after long surgeries.  They had to put him on a ventilator to get his breathing back on track.  He came off the vent on Monday morning and they put a BIPAP on him to help control his breathing.  As of today, Thursday, the BIPAP came off and he is breathing well on his own.  He is working towards drinking a glass of water and hopefully eating some solid food at some point in the near future. Jacob can "feel" when someone touches his legs, but there is still no movement.  His parents are beginning to prepare for him to be moved to the Shepherd Center in the next few days.  He will be there in Atlanta for 30-45 days.  Im sure he will receive excellent treatment. Please continue to pray for healing for him and if you are so moved, please contribute to the gofundme link above to help in any way you can.  The go fund me is doing well, but this is going to be a very long road for these guys Im afraid.. Thanks again! Sells
