This is where it gets really interesting, Creek Wood was up 35-7 on NS last I saw, that will be a decent game between them and Lexington as well!

I will hold off on calling a score for SPT and HC, of course I am leaning Jackets but it wont be easy...

Springfield hasn’t faced anyone that throws it like Hardin County does. Marshall County would be the only one close, and we all remember Marshall completing all those deep crosses on third and long. The Jacket pass defense has to be on point to have any shot to win. Springfield can’t overlook the HC running game either. Hopefully the excellent pass rush continues and we can get pressure on Rivers Hunt. This game will be the toughest test for both these teams prior to the state finals IMO. I don’t think any team the winner faces in round 3 or 4 will as tough as the opponent in this game.

This should be a great one.

I'm going with HC. I thought they had an excellent plan against Milan, but they just didn't execute it as planned. Looks like they have everything rolling now.

I hope your right. But Springfield is a different animal. They’ve had HC’s number the past couple years. Gonna take a great game plan and execution of said game plan for a win.

I think it will come down to whomever plays D and special teams the best. Plays the cleanest with the fewest turnovers and penalties.  The team that doesn’t beat themselves and ends drives with a kick should come out on top

Hardin County had a ton of penalties last night. It felt like we had more yds in penalties than WHH had yds on offense. But the D played good. Swarmed the ball couple sacks. Only give up one chunk play to there back for about 20 yds. Pretty much stuffed everything else!

The Jackets D is playing lights out right now and will need to continue that streak this week. Hardin county’s offense is very good with Hunt, Pope, and Whitley. I think the Jackets will have to focus on containing Hunt and stopping the run, force them to pass. The Jackets secondary can match up against the Tigers WR’s. Should be a great and tough 2nd round game.

    • Tax payer dollars are paid for certified teachers to "teach" and then coach. The primary job is to teach.  There are some district that ay awesome supplements and others that don't. Dyersburg and Dyer County are pretty close if I remember correctly. I would imagine that Football and basketball are above $10,000 now.  I've heard that Milan is $20,000 for boys basketball. I would imagine that football is more than that in Milan.  Collierville has camps that coaches get paid extra for. 3 camps a year, 100 kids a camp, $30,000 right there.  There are places like Memphis-Shelby County schools where the supplements are garbage even for the head coaches. I made less than $3,000 as the head assistant at Germantown in 2015 when we were 26-4 and one of the best teams in the Southeast. As a head middle school coach next year I will make between $4-5,000 at a municipal in Shelby County.  Coaches should be compensated for the jobs that are required but lets keep in mind that they are educators first.  It's pretty frustrating to other teachers that work their tale off teaching 6-7 classes a day to watch someone roam campus, not teach (or have very minimal responsibilities), and get paid the same (more with supplements) as a person who has the some years of experience or sometimes less.
    • This will get coaches leaving the profession very quickly if this kid wins this case. This is absurd...
    • yeah money aint right there anymore
    • I suppose you are correct but from my understanding it was going to be a situation of the HC saying yay or nay to every play
