The o.r. sheep keep on deflecting.I admit clinton is not good and have all season. But they keep bringing up clinton.I simply point out mathematical numbers that support o.r. has a huge advantage in this game.Play the game.If you win it will have an asterisk.

You’re a funny guy. A heckuva troll. I will give you that. An asterisk beside a game we have to play against a really good opponent who just beat the 2- time defending champs in Central. What does that say about Central, since they lost to them? I wonder what the South Doyle fans on here think about a Clinton guy saying that if we beat them it will have an asterisk beside it? You’re kinda dogging them too in the process, ya know? As if they aren’t a formidable foe or something. Keep making yourself look like a fool, ope. Honestly, I think you’re a closet OR fan deep down. You spend more time on OR threads than most OR fans do, I’ve noticed. That kinda makes me grin just a bit, Ope. Who is your favorite Wildcat of all time?

No asterisk at all.
We’ll come out there tomorrow and see what happens.

I agree. OR fans (myself included) need to stop responding to the incoherent ramblings of a fool. Two great teams will meet tomorrow night at Blankenship Field and we're letting a stupid Clinton fan get into our heads. Stop responding to him, and I'll be following my own advice and do the same!

Enrollment numbers mean absolutely nothing, don’t believe me ask Alcoa . If that’s the only argument you have, Game Over.

SS I’m not sure what drug this guy is on, but I’ll say this about SD. They were well prepared and had answers for almost everything we did in all three phases of the game. We did not prepare as well as we should have, TRUST ME. But my hats off to South Doyle, they made the plays when they had to. That will be one heck of a game tomorrow them vs OR. I could go either way honestly.

Have you seen much of OR? How do these two teams match up? Who has the advantage in the different aspects of the game?

After hearing the experts picks and watching the Gaddis show I just hope Oak Ridge can keep it close.Sounds like South Doyle is loaded and Oak Ridge will have to put together another really good performance to have a chance. Some of experts said Oak Ridge dont have the size or toughness to slow down the South Doyle offense. They said Berven and Kelly was solid LBs but dont have the strength to take on the SD oline and RB.They said South Doyles front 7 is too much for the patchwork Oline Oak Ridge has right now.Maybe we can come up with something to hang in there.Im headed back from Texas in couple of hours and wouldnt miss it for nothing.RWR

I’ve seen about all I can see without responding. There will be no Asterick if the Kees fall. They have played 5A for years and have been competitive for years. The Kees have earned their way here and will earn their way to Cookeville tomorrow night. Mr.Gary and Mr.Sissler are ready to make history and they could play and start for most any school in this state. They just beat the back 2 back 5A champs Astericks at their place. Us folks South of the River are sooo proud of our kids and I promise you because I know these kids personally that not one of them is intimidated or worried about the enrollment numbers. I’ll be there tomorrow night and South Knoxville is coming with me! Here’s to a injury free football game Oak Ridge folks, the Kees are coming!

Hogwash.
Both teams are evenly matched. I am not sure who the experts are that you are referring to but 6 of 7 state prep sports experts have picked Oak Ridge as reported in the Knoxville News Sentinel.

This is the truth observersd.Every expert knows o.r. has 460 more kids than south doyle.

    • Lee would have been a good choice, also.  I'm sure Benny was involved with the decision.
    • Personally I was pulling for Lee Hammonds to get another shot. He’s earned it!
    • Tyler Williams was the logical choice to be named head football. He served as the Highlanders’ strength coach and offensive coordinator.
    • I went to practice yesterday and liked what I saw for the most part. Derek and crew have done a good job during the off-season. I was very impressed with the size of some of those boys on the offensive line. My only regret was one of the boys I was really pulling for to have a good year was dismissed from the team. I have to applaud the coaches for setting examples for the others, no one is bigger than the team. One other thing, I was hoping with that big rain we got this week some of that  yellow paint would dissolve but it didn't.
    • Couple of thoughts: 1.  I just don't understand all the intricacies in TSSAA transfer rules anymore.    William Blount had a kid that played the final part of the basketball season with them this year,  that played at Hardin Valley last year, and played football for Bearden this year.  I say that to say, I know the coaches and the AD and the Principal at WB and I will never believe they would do something they knew was wrong.  They are men of character.  I BELIEVE the same thing about the coaches and administration at Maryville.  Call me gullible, but these are men and women of integrity in my experiences with them. 2.  Much like the transfer of the Clemmer kid a couple of years ago, with Smith, the football team is getting a huge boost, but the impact on the basketball team will be just as great or maybe even greater.  With Smith playing post, it frees the Sigmund kid who will be coming back from injury, to play more with his face to the basket.  The Rebels basketball squad in my mind, will be "the program" in East Tennessee next year.
