I think everything will be ok. The weather looks to be decent and the field will be in good shape. Coach Quinn will have the boys ready to play.  The atmosphere Friday night will be unlike any game this year.  The crowd will show up for this one and be loud. This group of Falcons are used to big time games. I have talked to alot of folks that are buying tickets for this one.  Just hope the refs don't play a big part and the game is injury free.  The Falcons have really gelled the past few weeks and are healthy.  I'm sure @Guidance1812 is getting the donkey ready as well........

Yes I bought 5 tickets. With people being home for Thanskgiving, some from surrounding areas, too bad Covid is playing into the attendance.

Fayetteville talking about if LC blinks,KJ will be in the end zone.Im sure 68 and a couple others have seen film.Does he look to be the fastest player LC has faced. How does Da Da and Morgan compare? So I'm assumming hes the running back?I read where they put another player in to run the wildcat. Is this him?If not,and KJ is so fast, why would they put someone else in.

They put their stronger back in #7. They usually only run the wildcat on short yardage situations to move the chains or if they’re inside the 15.

I am pumped to be able to call this game for Fayetteville! In the 2 years I have been doing the play-by-play, I see Lake County mentioned a lot here on the board, so it is an honor to get this far and play a storied tradition in 1-A! It'll be a long trip, but a beautiful area to go and see a football game, and both fan bases seem to be friendly, classy people. May the best team win this Friday!

Question - does anybody know if the press box at LC is large enough to accomodate visiting teams radio crew (2 men)? Thanks in advance! Go Tigers!

Hey GaelTider,

Our press box will be full Friday night,  so you will most likely have to set up outside.  However,  we will do everything we can to help you out.  We will have a pop canopy available if you need it.  Also,  we ran power to the visitor's bleachers a few years ago,  so you can set up on either home or away side.

The Falcon Sports Radio team is cooking for all the radio crews and everyone in the pressbox,  so if you don't get full from Boyette's (and you will, lol) ,  we will have more for you at the game.  We look forward to hosting you.  If you need anything,  ask for Eric or Jaxon and we will help you out.

Be safe and see you Friday night!

@FalconSports, that loud mouth chairman of the Eddie Cain Press Box cheering section will be looking for food especially if he can breath this week............lol

LC will be fine in the speed department.

    • Personally I was pulling for Lee Hammonds to get another shot. He’s earned it!
    • Tyler Williams was the logical choice to be named head football. He served as the Highlanders’ strength coach and offensive coordinator.
    • I went to practice yesterday and liked what I saw for the most part. Derek and crew have done a good job during the off-season. I was very impressed with the size of some of those boys on the offensive line. My only regret was one of the boys I was really pulling for to have a good year was dismissed from the team. I have to applaud the coaches for setting examples for the others, no one is bigger than the team. One other thing, I was hoping with that big rain we got this week some of that  yellow paint would dissolve but it didn't.
    • Couple of thoughts: 1.  I just don't understand all the intricacies in TSSAA transfer rules anymore.    William Blount had a kid that played the final part of the basketball season with them this year,  that played at Hardin Valley last year, and played football for Bearden this year.  I say that to say, I know the coaches and the AD and the Principal at WB and I will never believe they would do something they knew was wrong.  They are men of character.  I BELIEVE the same thing about the coaches and administration at Maryville.  Call me gullible, but these are men and women of integrity in my experiences with them. 2.  Much like the transfer of the Clemmer kid a couple of years ago, with Smith, the football team is getting a huge boost, but the impact on the basketball team will be just as great or maybe even greater.  With Smith playing post, it frees the Sigmund kid who will be coming back from injury, to play more with his face to the basket.  The Rebels basketball squad in my mind, will be "the program" in East Tennessee next year.
    • Could not agree more. After this year, McKenzie's new coach will have their work cut out for them. Staying in 1A would definitely be a huge plus. Most years there is not much difference in the top 5- 1A and 2A teams across the state, but after the top 5 or so there is normally a huge drop off for 1A. Regular season region play is a lot easier for 1A in West TN  right now.
