"Big Plays" and so called "Scores" are called back for exactly what makes them big plays. Illegal Blocks and Holds.  I don't have to say anymore we still end the year 12-2. I take that over 11-4 any day of the year. Maybe the Luck doesn't run dry for you and you can win, I wouldn't get your hopes up to much.

We finished 10-2, out in the 2nd round, give me 3 more losses and put me in Cookeville ANY year.....

11-4 is still playing records don’t matter in the playoffs. Y’all underestimated us honestly and that’s fine

Comedy? Let last nights opposing QB stay in the game and see how much laughing you do. Let him stay in at Safety and see if you win the hot potato match in the end zone. As far as your defense a passing team will roast you in the flats all day. If Lexington can hang a 65 yd TD pass on your back twice that don't say a lot for your defense. A wins a wins no matter Injury status, but as I said if the Lexington QB stayed in the game they wrapped it up early.

He hadn't done anything impressive on either side of the ball the whole game. Please. You are clueless.

We are still going.  We have a cousin at USJ and former baseball teammates at Milan. I wish we were playing though.

You are classy... I can't say the same for a guy that trolls a team after he is done. Two good teams gave it their all and someone has to lose.

It's a mutual respect. I enjoyed the Haywood fans that sit with us Lexington folks during the game. We had a great time. I wish we could have pulled out the W, but much respect to the Tomcats.

Just get #10 the ball more. The Haywood guys told me to get my phone ready every time he touched the ball. I quickly learned why.

Gotta go with Betsy in this one

Bring another Gold to District 1 for 4 in a row.
& maybe another mercy rule title game
Devils will continue that run next year as well

Betsy 56

Haywoooooood 21

Experiencing a little deja vu?  (For those who may not know, Greenevillllllllllllllle defeated Haywood 56-21 in the 2018 championship game.)

    • Lee would have been a good choice, also.  I'm sure Benny was involved with the decision.
    • Personally I was pulling for Lee Hammonds to get another shot. He’s earned it!
    • Tyler Williams was the logical choice to be named head football. He served as the Highlanders’ strength coach and offensive coordinator.
    • I went to practice yesterday and liked what I saw for the most part. Derek and crew have done a good job during the off-season. I was very impressed with the size of some of those boys on the offensive line. My only regret was one of the boys I was really pulling for to have a good year was dismissed from the team. I have to applaud the coaches for setting examples for the others, no one is bigger than the team. One other thing, I was hoping with that big rain we got this week some of that  yellow paint would dissolve but it didn't.
    • Couple of thoughts: 1.  I just don't understand all the intricacies in TSSAA transfer rules anymore.    William Blount had a kid that played the final part of the basketball season with them this year,  that played at Hardin Valley last year, and played football for Bearden this year.  I say that to say, I know the coaches and the AD and the Principal at WB and I will never believe they would do something they knew was wrong.  They are men of character.  I BELIEVE the same thing about the coaches and administration at Maryville.  Call me gullible, but these are men and women of integrity in my experiences with them. 2.  Much like the transfer of the Clemmer kid a couple of years ago, with Smith, the football team is getting a huge boost, but the impact on the basketball team will be just as great or maybe even greater.  With Smith playing post, it frees the Sigmund kid who will be coming back from injury, to play more with his face to the basket.  The Rebels basketball squad in my mind, will be "the program" in East Tennessee next year.
