It all started with the Unsportsmanlike calls in the CPA/DL game.  Officials are way too involved in these games.  Meigs County had a TD stolen from them early in this game on a phantom chop block call and it totally changed the landscape of the 2A game.  That's very unfortunate to say the least.

Yeah watching the 2A game on delay right now and that call did it for me.....lol

I still wanna know what was an illegal conference.. and why was it called 5 yards for one team but 15 for the other.

I thought the Milan vs Alcoa game was officiated well. Milan had 2 flags and I think Alcoa had 4. They seemed to let the kids play.

There was even a sideline penalty called coming out of a timeout that didn't result in 5 yards or 15 yards.  it was "a warning" (not an illegal conference).

Isnt illegal conference too many coaches in the huddle during a time out?

Apparently and I could be wrong but I heard the “illegal conference” was a new rule in place that was COVID related with distancing and masks?  Now the difference in 5 and 15 makes no sense.

Yeah...we got these kids and coaches together on the field to play the game, BUT Heaven forbid they gather too close in a conference on the field, none of it makes sense to me.....lol

I agree.  I’ve never heard of or seen that called before and that’s just what I was told.
