I was talking bout the middle school game but I didnt make that clear.Speaking of Robertsville was in a close game tonight but I never heard the final.Jefferson was beating Clinton like they stole something 34-0 at Half.I wonder what mercy rule is in middle school? Also I wonder if the better team won or not?Sorry I had to to say it

Jefferson seems to be really good and they have a lot of talent from what I hear. Bodes well for the future.

Yes they are and not just a star or 2 that does it all but a well rounded team.Heywards group was really good at Robertsville and we see a lot of those guys already playing and even though Jefferson was awful that yr.Good news is Robertsville is a solid or a lil above avg to go with a really good Jefferson team this yr.

Hopefully both teams have some linemen. And let’s hope most of them stick with it, I’ve noticed a lot of kids quit from MS to HS, gotta stop that trend.

But they are scared of my dog.

Walking dog at practice last week. Some players got nervous - "put a leash on that beast". I told them, "that's OK. Tee Higgins is scared of my dog, too"

They liked that.

Haha, Pit or Rott? How you holding up, ORN? Haven’t seen you on in a minute. Hope all is well? Looks like another year of struggles for your Seminoles. Them and my Vols both have struggled for years, barring the Winston years @ FSU. The college football landscape just doesn’t seem right when the Vols, Seminoles, and Huskers are all down.

Dog is no beast. Friendly Lab, hound mix. 80 lbs. And Tee was playfully scared of him.

All is very well. Family is healthy and happy. I'm around. Just not as visible.

Noles, Vols, and for now Cats. Hope is a dangerous thing. Leads to heartache. Once I understood other things (only a few) are more important than football, it was easier to deal with FSU and other more local schools.

Amen to the last part of your reply. Couldn’t agree more. I’m glad to hear the family and yourself are doing well. Hope to see you around at a game sometime soon.

The word is they do.Im no expert at middle school OL projections so its hard to say for sure just watching. All though down a little this yr we have done pretty good most yrs avg 35 plus freshman.I notice some of schools we play have only 45-55 total on varsity roster counting FR.Oak Ridge is one of few schools I see in papers that dont list FR on varsity roster or we could dress out 80-90 players.I think we have a bigger problem keeping guys from fresh to soph than we do from middle to high school. It would be really nice to see us hire a great freshman coach and put a lot of time and care into them instead of sending them out of the way and forgetting about them until next yr

I just posted to Twitter and Facebook an interview with Tee's mom. She said he used to be afraid of dogs but now has one who lives with his mom.

    • QUICK UPDATE -  First, I see a lot of wrestling names that I recognize on that GoFundMe.  THANK YOU so much for helping this family.   After the long surgery on Sunday morning to repair his neck, Jacob suffered a collapsed lung.  Sometimes this happens after long surgeries.  They had to put him on a ventilator to get his breathing back on track.  He came off the vent on Monday morning and they put a BIPAP on him to help control his breathing.  As of today, Thursday, the BIPAP came off and he is breathing well on his own.  He is working towards drinking a glass of water and hopefully eating some solid food at some point in the near future. Jacob can "feel" when someone touches his legs, but there is still no movement.  His parents are beginning to prepare for him to be moved to the Shepherd Center in the next few days.  He will be there in Atlanta for 30-45 days.  Im sure he will receive excellent treatment. Please continue to pray for healing for him and if you are so moved, please contribute to the gofundme link above to help in any way you can.  The go fund me is doing well, but this is going to be a very long road for these guys Im afraid.. Thanks again! Sells
