New Region 6 6A

What are your thoughts on the new Region 6 6A.  Cane Ridge, Antioch, Overton, McGavock, Dickson County, Smyrna & LaVergne.

Cane Ridge and Smyrna will play for the Region Championship every year for the most part.  I think LaVergne has beaten Smyrna one time in the school's 32 year existence.

Looking at the make-up of this region, Speed will not be an issue, except maybe Dickson.  These teams are fast.  Smyrna is physical and big up front.  Cane Ridge is talented and well coached.  Antioch, Dickson County & McGavock are way down right now.  Overton was usually solid in the past so I am not sure what has happened to them the last few years.  Hopefully we can get back to somewhat normal for '21 season and Metro can have a full schedule.  My picks right now would be as follows:  Cane Ridge, Smyrna, LaVergne with the others scrapping and trying to win 2 region games to sneak into the playoffs to face either Beech or Hendersonville in the 1st round.

Why would they pull DCHS all the way through Nashville to that region?

Because Dickson pleaded and begged to get out of the Williamson County Region.  They will at least have a fighters chance in this region.

Maybe they should have pleaded and begged to join Montgomery Co Schools

This has to be one of if not the weakest region in 6A

Maybe it was Williamson County who begged & pleaded for TSSAA to take Dickson away?  With their rich history of competing in Montgmery County for years, It would have made sense to go to Montgomery County.  Not sure how they ended up in this region.
