Read what you posted.. “don’t start it’s not a big cut”. That is where you crossed the line.  I’m still at a loss why you would say something like that or even imply it.

You should have never made that comment.  It was way out of bounds to talk about a high school kid on a public forum like that when you have no direct knowledge of him.

When I told you that it’s not a big cut for Cody at all, instead of saying ok I stand corrected,  you attacked me. So, Just admit you were out of line.

If Cody were in D1 this year, he would most likely be wrestling 33 as most of the top D1 33’s are in the low 50’s in the preseason.  Now that would be a cut, and something where he would have to watch his diet every single day of the season and do heavy cardio.  But right now he not even really watching his diet much at all other than not eating junk food so seriously making 45 is nothing for Cody.

You can apologize at any point for the comment that you made that was out of line.

But yet you said he weighed 45 this weekend and it was proven he did not. So you might want to quit while you are behind. Cody doesn’t need a water carrier but you do a very fine job of it even when not needed. His wrestling does enough talking for him, he doesn’t need you as a mouthpiece!

Uh.. actually Cody did weigh in at 145 for 2 different tournaments and he wrestled 12 matches all at 145pounds..   it’s on track so you can look it up yourself and this is in PA where they are militant about weigh-ins, so to imply he didn’t weigh-in is ridiculously stupid.

But you said he weighed 145 scratch (before you edited your post, we aren’t stupid) so didn’t have a problem getting to 145 but right above there is an actual print out of what he actually weighed and it wasn’t 145 it was right at 147 so again please quit, you are making yourself look a fool and your obsession with him looks very unhealthy. I’ve had coaches with great wrestlers they coached from kids club through high school never come on here and brag so much.

So you think it’s ok for someone to post crap about a high school kid having to make big cuts on a public forum???

yes or no?

No one did, you come on here as usual running that mouth of yours! First we don’t need a daily update of Cody. If we are interested it’s pretty easy to see his results! Somehow though as states above you think you are some boom ranch bodyguard or something and you seem to be getting more Foxcatcher. Lay off all the Cody posts and let’s talk some more actual wrestling.

Actually Greenhorn did make the comment “and don’t tell me it’s not a big cut for him”.

Are you going to answer the question or you just going to keep attacking me to avoid answering it?

Do you think it’s ok for grown adults to hide behind user names and make derogatory comments toward High school athletes?

Yes or No...  it’s a pretty simple question.

I just imagine Cody getting on CoachT and seeing grown men arguing about if he made weight on any given particular day. But I bet he has better things to do than waste his time reading these meaningless arguments. I think we should give it a rest. Quit acting like you were offended because someone made a comment about Cody's weight or desire to drop weight or whatever it is you think he implied. Lets get back to actually talking about wrestling.

My guess is he doesn’t want to make that weight cut for a forfeit good ole Tn ! And don’t start it’s not a big cut

Here Scott, this is his exact quote and maybe you know it’s not a big cut for Cody but maybe greenhorn thinks it is. For me he was more talking directly to you and questioning you.

Either way to answer your question I don’t think that’s a huge deal or a huge questioning of him thinking it’s a big weight cut. You keep getting those panties in a wad and I actually think it’s worse to have a high school wrestler have his own hype man on a message board but, here you are. Do you need me to get that mental health specialist in Cleveland or Chattanooga?

So how about this. You talk about the entire team when talking about wrestling? Be it your own son at McCallie which you rarely ever say a word or maybe all of Cleveland which is an amazing team that performed without Cody while he instead took a trip out of state to wrestle without them. That’s not questioning Cody that’s questioning the adults around him. I mean what would be the hurt that he came here to TN to wrestle actually given the go ahead to do so and yet isnt? I mean are you afraid these few months are going to stunt his growth or something!

I really hope he stays off message boards, most wrestlers do. I just know he is working his butt off to get better as a wrestler and going through life. I am afraid maybe these huge expectations of him are going to hurt him in the end. Seen way to many kids get this and burn out and never reach full potential. I am sure he’s not that way but the “adults” in his camp seem to place way to many expectations on him and it doesn’t always end well. Once they become adults and on their own they drop it all as the love was taken from them in the sport. Hopefully we can get back to actually wrestling talk like whose going to win state or state duals. I can’t find out anything about some teams like my Soddy Daisy team. Heck have they even wrestled in this second part of the season? Sadly Covid has screwed everything up and I hate it for these kids not to be able to participate the way they want.
