This is what happens when people outside of the school system try to exert their “power” in a coaching hire. The Principal and AD should be making this call. This person will be a teacher inside the school first… the coaching job is just a supplemental position. The Principal and AD know what they need. Let them hire.

Sequatchie Field Update:

The rain the week before last put them a little behind schedule. If they could get another three or four days of dry weather next week that would help. 

The posts for the new fencing was installed this week.

i talk to my buddy from dunlap this weekend.  he said that the fayetteville asst as still being strongly considered.  Montgomery would be a fall back option.  don't know how accurate that is.  He was pretty much over the whole thing and how its bein handled.

Sequatchie County would like to welcome Rusty McIntyre as the new Head Football Coach at Sequatchie County.

Coach McIntyre comes to SCHS from Fayetteville HS where he served as the Offensive Coordinator for the Tigers.

I think he will do fine. Good kids at Seq and I think a young coach will work his tail off to prove himself. Good luck!

Good guy and awesome family. Hate to see them leave Fayetteville. Good luck at Sequatchie.
