I always thought he didn't want to coach with the big boys (DB, SH and others). He will get a new experience next year. I don't think he even would schedule them at East. Will all the players from Central, South and North show up at West Ridge next year? He used to be in the same conference as DB and SH. Dyer can coach head to head with those coaches. The issue at East he faced at East will be the same he faces at West Ridge. Where is the talent going to come from to compete at the highest level in TN? deputydog
Congratulations to Coach Dyer...what a great man to start the program @ West Ridge !
13sports
Coach Dyer is a great coach. His teams play hard and are well schooled in the game of basketball. Good Luck. Taking over a consolidated school is very different from taking over a new school. I would think the talent level should be solid.

East was AAA from 1988-2009 under Dyer. Then East dropped to AA. No matter who shows up to play at WRHS, they’ll play hard and they’ll shoot a lot of 3’s! He will do great there. They needed a seasoned veteran to help make this transition as smooth as possible. Good luck Coach Dyer.
