He's talking about Stadel, the 195 from Maryville Cummins beat 6-5 in the finals of the Maryville tourney at 220. I'll take your bet. How much would you like to wager. You name the price.

You're overlooking a few good heavyweights. He's wrestling up a lot of weight and you're giving him a pass to win it all. So yeah, ill take your bet.

I would 2nd that Cummins has a very strong chance of winning heavyweight.  He isn't one of the best technical wrestlers, that's only because he has only been wrestling a few short years. However he is one of the best athletes in the state regardless of weight class.  And, if you look the kid up on any social media platform, he may very well be the strongest heavyweight in the history of the state- even giving up 50+ lbs.

Personally, I think moving up to heavyweight may be his best shot at winning it.   There are several kids at 195 that can hang with him athletically, while also out classing him technically.  At 220, Davis completely out classes him technically (as well as every other 220 in AAA) and is a very strong athlete as well.  Heavyweight may be deep this year with several kids on the same level, but they aren't exactly Kramers, Coffeys, Boykins, or Reagans.  I don't think any of the other heavy weights match his athleticism, nor do I think any of them are much more technically gifted.

I will say that him having limited matches at heavyweight may play a factor, as there is quite a bit of strategy in wrestling a guy that weights 50 pounds more than you do.  Yes he is strong enough to handle the weight difference, but in certain situations it's not really a matter of strength, but sometimes simply just pure physics.

    • Yea I agree I will say tho I was a big “ v “ fan if an  opening ever did happen I think it would’ve been good to see him have a shot coming from a power house like Oakland. I’m sure he’s learned a lot from Kevin.  I bet he would bring a really good offense scheme IMO But after all this I just dunno anymore.  Whatever happens with the rumors an such if it did come to and opening I think this messes it all up.  The board members dreams are slowly slipping away now. I haven’t lived there for awhile I just hear what I hear, but my question is would there be any good potential candidates?? That’s why I don’t understand why people want b s out so bad who else could do any better ?? IMO there’s nothing attractive about it? As I stated earlier I went to the last game last year and taking a leak in a porta Potty is pretty sad and still nothing being done they say ..
    • I have a sophomore that can do 177 (preferred) or 192. Sent you an email.
    • speaking of board members how can a man get arrested 12 days ago and still be head coaching a team in TC school system? looks like your right about the tc board members. I bet it would be different if they had a kid on the team
