Welp, now that I'm out of the CoachT jail for having to flame out a keyboard cowboy stuck in mom's basement, as the Eminem song says, "guess who's back, back again!"

Now, back to the original topic of a shot clock.

Would it work to SS advantage by forcing our opponents to shoot and avoid a stall tactic? Yes, it would force them to play our defense. Which is smothering, pressuring and when in man-to-man is closer than 2 coats of paint.

Advantage SS.

When SS is on offense, would we be constricted by a shot clock? No. We have ball movement that keeps opponents heads spinning. We shoot quickly and rebound aggressively. We haven't faced a defense in the last 2 years, regardless of class or locale that has beaten us. The sole loss, is because we beat ourselves.

Advantage SS.

To conclude: advantage SS

Now to conclude the slack jawed, inbred that reported this profile because they were offended by my comments posted here. I apologize for "crossing a line" in talking smack. So here's the response to being censured by a message board administrator. I run 6 different profiles on one social media platform alone. You won't know how many profiles will be created here by this user. VPN's will disguise IP addresses so that won't help. Email addresses from a dozen business domains could be utilized.

I run a Private Equity firm with expertise in marketing. So when the statement is made that I'd pay for our trip to play anyone in the state, including those in higher classes like mentioned on this thread, please feel free to message the Athletic Director's contact information so I can reach out. Heck, I will even use it as a marketing expense from the company to reduce our tax liability. Advantage: Closer

If this is the last post from this account, don't worry, it will embolden one to be bigger and better. Just like SS.

Oh and now after winning Region 7 AA in 2021, the two year record is 54-1.

Advantage SS.

I have no need to mesage anyone for you. You are the one challenging people.

I know you won't beat Houston or CBHS.

You'll have no problem getting a bus for SS to come ot Memphis and play those two teams.

Better yet call IMG and take a trip to Florida. Give the kids a vacation and play them since you're not scared of anyone.

This debate has been going on for several years. Some high schools do play with a shot clock. After going to college game the last 3 years I'm a big fan of it. I guess I should have stated I stole this from Jay Bilas.

Um...think it’s past time for a shot clock? What an embarrassment. https://google.com/amp/s/usatoday AL high school basketball playoff games end with a score of 6-4.hss.com/2021/alabama-high-school-basketball-playoffs-carver-parker/amp

I can take it or leave it...I’ve heard all the complaints about slow down ball over the years in TN HS basketball especially from the Drew Maddox camp....ironically he utilized a little slow down ball today in their loss because he knew they weren’t as talented as Goodpasture.  He’s not used to having less talent.   The only thing I’ve always wondered in this debate....why don’t the defenses come out and force play?  Everyone blames it on offenses holding the ball but the defensive side bears responsibility too.  If I had a team that was less talented I certainly would use the same strategy!   It’s the coaches who usually have more talented teams that complain.

I saw nothing slow in that game.  You're still peeved by football defeat.

    • Agree. The man literally sacrificed time, moments, memories you can't get back with his own family for every single athlete at that school. (and many others) To those that continue to be negative about him and continue to bring him up; He's been loyal, hardworking and just his entire coaching career. Ask anyone that actually has a leg to stand on in regard to Coach.
    • Egotistical? That's a new one.  It's funny, I'm friends with two of the younger coaches that he "ran off" as you say. In fact, he helped them find jobs, encouraged them to do what was best for their growing families, provided advice, support and still does to this day.

    • Track has always been big at OR. Ran off about 7 straight titles in the 60s. Your hate for Gaddis runs deep, huh? What did he ever do to you, to make you disdain him that much? You can’t seem to stop talking about the guy. He’s living rent free in your head. Might wanna get that checked out, you don’t wanna go to the grave with that on your heart.
    • This late in the year, you’d have to think they’d go with an Asst. on staff, right? I’m pretty new to the area so still learning how folks do things around here…if Woods stays there to teach, it could be hard on a new guy/staff coming in…
