TomLHS
Glad the the Gold Ball will reside in Murfreesboro. Sounds like the “ticket” scandal was handled well by the TSSAA.
Karl
It is not easy to be a referee. The refs in the championship game are good guys and doing the best that they can. The problem I have is the quality of refs the tssaa brings in for the state tournament compared to the revenue the tssaa brings in. Show me what you invest in and I will show you what you value. Teams work too hard to not deserve quality officiating from their organization in a state championship game.

Addie Porter is one heck of a player. Lebanon won’t have anyone like her for a long long time So, how are you related to her?
Eddie
HARD NUMBERS - In her 4 years as a starter at LHS, Addie Porter piled up 1600-plus points, 600-plus rebounds, 400-plus assists and 300-plus steals. As a 5-5 guard she led the team in rebounds for each of the past two seasons. As a senior, she was District 9AAA regular season and tournament MVP as well as MVP of the Region 5AAA tournament. Will graduate with 12 athletic letters having played 4-years of softball and volleyball in addition to her 4-years with the Devilettes. In the win over Bradley Central, Porter led both teams in points (14) and rebounds (8) AND hit the game-winner off a nasty crossover move. In the win over Hardin County, she had a double-double with 18 & 12. In the finals, she led all scorers with 19 points. Thru three games in M-Boro last week, she played all 96 minutes, averaging 17 points / 8 rebounds per game AND her teammates love her.

She pretty much took her team on her back in Q4 to win the Bradley game & get to Championship game. She was for sure the difference in the Bradley game. Great player. Not that I don't like her, she's got alot of heart, but she's nothing special. When you take a large volume of shots you're gonna score. Her percentages aren't anything spectacular, they just built the team around playing defense and letting her fire at will. Alot of teams do that, seldom do those teams win it all.
