History goes a long way in Trousdale county, but this week the school board accepted a bid to redo the bleachers on the creekbank, a change long overdue! The visitor side is set to be cut in half and will have approx 720 seats, the home side however will now be 18 rows high instead of the previous 16 rows, the new bleachers should benefit those disabled, with new ramps on each end of the bleachers, and hand rails up and down them. Demolition will begin May 22nd, the plan is to be ready to play ball on August 13 which is the Jamboree, the bid was placed just short of $856,000. However it does still need to be passed by county commission on Apr 26. The shortage in school costs due to COVID-19 helped push the board to accept the bid, I look forward to seeing the creekbank updated, and as always GO Jackets!

That is a very good question.

Of all the places I have watched a high school football game their visiting side was probably to most gracious as far as seating goes. South Pitt was probably about the same or maybe a little less I dont recall. But it was nice to be able to have that kind of room especially for a playoff game.

Yall and Greenback could use an update on the visitors side.

Just a guess but cost could have been a factor, and also it will help some of the teams we play in the regular season, where they only have 25-50 people show up and in the old bleachers it would just swallow them up and make it look like no one cares about that team, so it should help with that, with them cutting visitor side, they also are expanding home side by 2 rows, so I’m assuming that is for playoff games for “neutral fans”

It would be cost free to leave them alone. I hope it works out good for you guys though.
