Good luck to the Macon boys this season. I find myself following them over the years. It’s so good peoples in that area.

Good Luck to PC as well! Always enjoyed when we played one another. You all have always have been friendly people when we would come down or y’all would come up. Maybe one of these days we can cross paths again on the gridiron. We are up and coming to be a well presented program as the team keeps improving each year. Shoulders is putting MC on the map and that’s for sure!

MC won the large-class 7-on-7 tournament at Shelbyville today beating defending 5A state champions Summit and beating Shelbyville in the ship. I thought MC looked really good. QB was connecting well with his receivers and pass defense was tremendous. Looking forward to seeing the guys on the field in August.

If Red Boiling joined Macon, they would jump to 5a and being playing Beech and Galatin type teams each week. That's is the problem with that idea.

If a school Co-ops with another for a sport not offered at one do they combine the enrollment of both schools to determine classification?

They do not.  Pearl Cohn and MLK Co-op together and PC still played in 3a (Now 4a).  With both school enrollments that would put them in 6a with over 1,800 students.

MC won another 7-on-7 tournament in Giles County today competing against elite talent. The Tigers did not lose a single game over the past two days. Looking like it could possibly be a special year for the Tigers. According to some TC fellows, MC has great season when the cicadas are out. And they happen to be out this year lol.

They have some talented skill positions and a good qb.

    • When Danny was a senior he was the quarterback on the 82 team and also the placeholder on extra points. At the end of the game Heritage scored a touchdown with very little time left and went ahead 9-0. On the following extra point Danny rose up and threw a perfect pass to one of his receivers which made it 11-0 and Heritage's first win against Maryville since the series started in 77. Maryville fans were highly ticked off because they felt like it was rubbing salt in the wound. The following year when both teams met again at Maryville  the Rebels ran away with the game and after the first couple of touchdowns they went for two points after each score for a pay back and the score was 45-0 at halftime. The following Monday Bob Gilbert the sports eiditor for the local paper bashed Maryville in an article called the Humilation of Teenagers and tore into Maryville even though he was a graduate of the school. Those were the good ole days when Heritage had decent teams and the rivalry between them and Maryville was a fun event to see.
    • I get all that.  And I agree too.  However, if the coach is only there to coach that would give them more time to do those things. The school system and booster clubs combine and pay them.
    • 3 sides to every story….Someone getting kicked off for saying the F word then it seems maybe your star player? Probably was the last straw.
    • who cares good luck to the kid. Hopefully he finds peace at MV.
    • Those are the three I was referring to popcorn
