We did a good job denying her.  The guards hurt us more than anything by drawing fouls and executing on the line.  Anderson is so much taller than anyone we've got, it was hard to get second chances on offense.  We have a girl just like her in 8th grade lol

At North Greene, a couple of years ago against South Greene, I saw Brook Anderson get 29 rebounds. Needless to say, SG didn't get a lot of second chances, either, but they still won.

A team's strategy of working the paint, is a good one. But they must make their foul shots. SG played NG this year and shot 5 for 18 from the foul line. If they make just a few more of those, as they should have, they win the game.

Anyway, it's good to hear that Anderson is gradually picking up her game. I'm hoping she can further her education with a scholarship somewhere.

I honestly think Region 1 will send two teams to state. One of the more competitive years in a long time. I could also see all four teams win their first round games to.

Cland and NG were very physical with each other.  I'm gonna have to get some size on my daughters before they play at this level

I don't think it's a stretch to say the 3 best teams in the entire Section (Regions 1 and 2) are from District 1. I don't think Hampton is consistent enough on offense to be in that conversation.

We don't belong in the conversation either.  2 years from now barring any crazy circumstances,  we will be an absolute monster.  3 point shooters are on the way and a biiiiggg girl

Carter county is blessed to have some of the most elite coaches in the state.  Coach Matt,  Carpenter, and Chambers are the best.  Plus Hampton has ole deputy and Ned Smith on the boys side.  I look for a run at the gold ball.

    • If someone needed their grades pumped up surley it would have to be for someone needing it to get to another level. If your intending on going to work right after high school it wouldn't matter. Why would someone in their right mind think if they screwed it up in high school that their ready for college. It has to be for an athlete to get them over the fence to get in and from that point the school their going to will cheat them through the rest of the way for their athletic skills just like the rest.
    • The new school will be on that road behind Home Depot next to a church. I'm wondering if this could take from Greenback or could it be the end of Greenback, they only have 200 students.
    • Yeah it will take the county kids in that area that were going to lenior city. They will move down to 4a I think

    • That's utterly ridiculous. No way a public school pays money to get rid of a coach. They just fire them. There's no coaching contract it's year to year.
