He thinks Hampton is 17-20. I don’t think he thinks to highly of the football in Northeast TN unless it’s Elizabethton.Hampton gave you guys a good game in the playoffs and bring back a lot of key players. I think Hampton wins region 1 this year.

Hampton gave us a much better game than I figured they would. I felt like we didn't have a good defense prepared for them or we may have faired some better. Both teams gave up alot of points that game lol. Not one we were proud of looking back but a win is a win. Gotta give credit where it's due though, they played us for all they were worth. They also prepared really well. The biggest reason we had success offensively is we had an outstanding qb and rb last year. It was hard to stop both consistently. And if you focused on just  one the other would make you pay for it.

I just think Hampton should of been ranked in his top 15. Makes you wonder how much he knows about teams. Going by last year I really don’t think you can say SG was a way better team than Hampton and he has them at 9.

No kidding. Marion’s likely better than water and TC this year also. Like a lot of ratings, based on past performance. Doubt this guy really digs in deep to learn about 2A rosters.

Wait what ? “They are better this year” when did the season start my guy ? I get what your saying as far as talent but Marion is the master of crapping the bed at times !!

I do believe they will be better myself. A lot more experience and more depth this year.  Crapping the bed? What you have are a bunch of teenagers working their butt off all year and doing their best every game they play. It's ok to go back and forth when you play each other but it seems like you are still hurt over some banter from 7 years ago. Peabody was the better team that day no doubt about it.

Enjoy the success Peabody is having because it goes as easy as it comes. Unless you are Alcoa or Maryville you won't sustain success every year. There was a time when Marion dominated and won 4 titles in 5 yrs across 2 different classes playing private schools. Beating your Maryville's, Alcoa's, Brentwood Academy's, Knox West, MUS, etc.... Just enjoy it because it can always change. Trust me we know all too well.

Definitely top 10 or even top 5. If they are gonna be better than last year like they think they will be. They will be a hard team to beat.

    • From my understanding, Jay Graham pretty much took over HC responsibilities in that game, so you can thank him. Cute Andy didn’t need help, though. Cute Andy could’ve beaten us without any assistant coaches.
    • Tax payer dollars are paid for certified teachers to "teach" and then coach. The primary job is to teach.  There are some district that ay awesome supplements and others that don't. Dyersburg and Dyer County are pretty close if I remember correctly. I would imagine that Football and basketball are above $10,000 now.  I've heard that Milan is $20,000 for boys basketball. I would imagine that football is more than that in Milan.  Collierville has camps that coaches get paid extra for. 3 camps a year, 100 kids a camp, $30,000 right there.  There are places like Memphis-Shelby County schools where the supplements are garbage even for the head coaches. I made less than $3,000 as the head assistant at Germantown in 2015 when we were 26-4 and one of the best teams in the Southeast. As a head middle school coach next year I will make between $4-5,000 at a municipal in Shelby County.  Coaches should be compensated for the jobs that are required but lets keep in mind that they are educators first.  It's pretty frustrating to other teachers that work their tale off teaching 6-7 classes a day to watch someone roam campus, not teach (or have very minimal responsibilities), and get paid the same (more with supplements) as a person who has the some years of experience or sometimes less.
    • This will get coaches leaving the profession very quickly if this kid wins this case. This is absurd...
    • yeah money aint right there anymore
