Probably so.

Alcoa has played more 6A program besides murvul. Those teams did not have any more fans at Alcoa them the typical 3A teams? Two of the 6A teams last year had much higher enrollment numbers than murvul?

Funny, the trend of Rebel fans wanting to drop the Tornadoes.

At least the Middle school teams will start playing again. After, Alcoa had to do damage control and agree to play "nice"...

COVID year. Throw it out!

East TN football has lost ground to Middle and West TN in regards to overall talent.  Once Riverdale started to lose, Rankin put his tale between his legs and ran east.  Rankin needs more talent than the opposing team to win.  Rankin will NEVER out scheme you.  Hence him needing a big OL for the 50 running plays a game he calls.

This is accurate. I hear Alcoa talk about their reasons for not playing up, Maryville having more kids, etc.

Actually Maryville played up in the super 32 a few years ago. Some of the teams Maryville played and defeated had more than 1000 kids more in their enrollment. Didn't hear any excuses from them.

Where you hear that? EVERYONE in Alcoa, fan and community base wants to play up.

murvul did not volunteer to play up in the super 32. They had one school refuse to play giving the next school enrollment wise the spot. Murvil played in 4A for years and dominated. People said they where scared to play up(big boy football) for years.....the same way Alcoa is now. When the TSSAA went to 6 classifications, murvul had grown enrollment wise and after the 32 team and Zplan ended...... landed in 6A.

Move Alcoa to 4A, 5A or 6A. They'll play!

BTW, which team that murvul played that had 1000 more players?

THIS, I like to see!

Talent level, yes. Size and depth, no.

Admit? Simply look at the numbers.....murvul has OVER ONE THOUSAND more students, AND, dresses over 100 players.

Alcoa over achieves in their classification. This is where your  "real" 3A description comes from.  That still does not make them 6A. And, that is the pin point that touches off the murvul peps. They hate "little brother" is closing the gap.

Agree to disagree.  As I said, we both know it, but only one of us will admit it.
