The Ty Simpson roll out pass that was caught at the one yard line will be as good of a pass as you’ll ever see in high school football. At least 50 air yards and hit the receiver in stride I believe. Of course, he was scrambling for his live, which made the play even better.

Westview had a good Dresden team down 35-6 at half. Get some better protection out of the line and Chattanooga could be in their future.

Indeed! Simpson is a rare talent & borrowing injury the sky is the limit for him. Plus he’s got a lot of supporting staff as well. Lots of talent & depth on Westview. With Peabody back in 1A, though it won’t be easy (it never is!), Chargers may do lots of winning in 2A, perhaps a finals game after a 20 years drought. It’s easy to talk after 1 game & wildly speculate, but until you see it in person, you can’t appreciate how good, fast, & deep a team & player(s) are until that moment. Impressive game for Westview. And Lions? You ain’t seen the last of us! Of course, all roads in our 1A go through Peabody! Unless you’re the defending champs over in 1A’s Region 5, who will have a say-so in all these assumptions for sure! I think Peabody, they were the team that finally beat Union City’s loooong domination & amazing win streak a few years back. Tide’s 3 Gold in a row & still on their own streak (what? 38 now?), who will it be that breaks the Golden Tide’s tsunami domination? And now in 1A? Wowser! Lots of winning traditions & rich histories will be colliding this year in both classes! It is true, any team can beat any other team on any night. Get cocky and over confident, think it will be an easy game and you don’t have to play 110%, then you’ll get surprised! It’s going to be an interesting season in both 1A & 2A with all the changes & shuffling around. Great season ahead!

Are the finals in Chattanooga this year? What a looooong drive for all the W.TN teams if it is! Is this an E.TN ploy to try and get an edge upon any W.TN team(s) making the finals? What a trip!
