You would think at 42 years of age I wouldn’t be in shock with news especially this day in age but it still gets me to hear hear news like this. He was one cool dude and absolutely loved High School Football. Like General said we all bicker on here at each other but in reality it’s a in good fun. Prayers definitely sent to his family and friends from Waverly.

The true measure of a man isn’t in terms of monetary means or worldly processions, but rather the impression he leaves on others. Like many of you on here, I didn’t know Mike personally, but watched his shows and met him at a ball game once and had a great conversation. He and Lee have done as much, if not more, than anyone to promote high school football across our great state in the past few years. The impression he left on so many of us speaks volumes for the man that Mike was. Thank you for all you’ve done Mike and rest easy brother.

If you knew Mike you loved Mike ! He was funny, smart and loved with everything he had ! He has touched the lives of so many people and will be missed . I will always love you . This is not goodbye sweetheart this is I will see you again one day in heaven and we will never have to be apart again."

Got a call this afternoon with the terrible news.  I sure do hate to hear this.  I had some good times with Mike back in the day when his son played for cascade and had a lot of battles with Jo Byrns.  He didn’t care for me early on but we became good friends for a time.  Time went on and we didn’t talk much anymore once regions realigned and he started doing the radio thing.  I’ll remember the good times and he’ll always be one of my favorites from coacht!  I’ll be sure to do my part to carry on his passion for high school football.  We both loved 1A football the most!  Thanks Mike!!!

This one hurts really bad, rest easy Mike, you were top of the class brother.. never goodbyes always see you laters!

Jesus said, I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die; and whoever lives by believing in me will never die.

I didn’t have the chance to meet him, but my heart goes out to his family, Lee & his coach T friends.  I’d enjoyed listening to him and Lee. He did have a way about him that made you want to smile.

Through coach T I have met some amazing passionate football fans and great loving people.  I hated hear this about Mike and it’s sad.

Jehovah Yahweh & his only begotten son Jesus are merciful & their love is unconditional & there’s forgiveness available to all who will accept.

Heavenly Father please comfort and give strength to the family and friends during this difficult time in Jesus name we ask.

    • Yea I agree I will say tho I was a big “ v “ fan if an  opening ever did happen I think it would’ve been good to see him have a shot coming from a power house like Oakland. I’m sure he’s learned a lot from Kevin.  I bet he would bring a really good offense scheme IMO But after all this I just dunno anymore.  Whatever happens with the rumors an such if it did come to and opening I think this messes it all up.  The board members dreams are slowly slipping away now. I haven’t lived there for awhile I just hear what I hear, but my question is would there be any good potential candidates?? That’s why I don’t understand why people want b s out so bad who else could do any better ?? IMO there’s nothing attractive about it? As I stated earlier I went to the last game last year and taking a leak in a porta Potty is pretty sad and still nothing being done they say ..
    • I have a sophomore that can do 177 (preferred) or 192. Sent you an email.
    • speaking of board members how can a man get arrested 12 days ago and still be head coaching a team in TC school system? looks like your right about the tc board members. I bet it would be different if they had a kid on the team
