100% agree. Alcoa already plays 5A, 6A and DII teams with their out of region games. Go look at the schedule the last 10 years. But, need to move to 4A. Greeneville and Besty need some company. :thumb:

I’d love to see you guys make the trip to Nashville next year to play a game against Lipscomb. Coach Dilfer has proved he will schedule the best anytime and anywhere. I’d personally make the short drive over to Lipscomb to watch that game. Oakland, Father Ryan, Riverdale, CPA, and Summit would be great matchups too. Only game I could see Alcoa being at a real disadvantage would be Oakland. Lipscomb and CPA would be extremely tough but it wouldn’t surprise me to see Alcoa beat any of the teams i mentioned with the exception being Oakland. Just wIshful thinking for you guys to make a trip down here.

CPA was ask about a regular season game against Alcoa. CPA could not make it happen.

Alcoa has traveled to Blackman, and now Cookeville the last couple of years. Then trips to Dobbyns Bennett the same year was a lot of travel.

Alcoa has played CPA, DCA, Lipscomb and Goodpasture for the championship with great success.

I recall it. I just am hopeful for them coming to middle Tennessee as that’s where I live and I always enjoy when teams like you all come down to play!

If you’re afraid to play the games, you really need to have enough character to drop your football program. Frankly 1/4 to 1/3 of the high schools in Tennessee would be better off dropping football. It’s nothing but throwing good money after bad.

It’s funny to hear someone say that. High school Football is about the kids and learning life lessons whether it be wining or losing. It’s about the kids. People like you are what make people dislike some of the higher classified schools. Try having some class because when the colleges look for athletes, they could care less if you have 500 or 5000 kids that go to your school. Which is what determines the classification of each school. Once again it’s about the kids.

I have been a part of programs that won multiple state championships, and have been a part of programs that finished 1-9 in my 40 years in high school football. “The Kids” are exactly why some of these programs need to be shut down! Nothing good comes from getting your skull bashed in 10 times a year! Can you name a single kid from; Sullivan East, Cocke Co., Glencliff, Lookout Valley, Heritage, Lenoir City, Union Co., Hillwood, Cumberland Co., I could type all day, that ever received a college scholarship to play football? Plus, there are just as many wretched programs in the large classes as there are in the small ones.

If the kids enjoy the game, have a good man leading them, have a sense of belonging to a group, and stay out of negative environments through football...guess what? Winning or scholarships are icing on the cake.

    • hey goat! how’s monterey looking this year?!
    • several people actually. they said “snoball, do you know who railbird81 is on coacht?” I said, “never heard of her.” they said, “you ought to check it out they’re getting fired up on there like the old days.” well, you can imagine my disappointment when I came here expecting sharp, witty banter and all i found was more akin to toddlers slap fighting. and what looks like 1 guy/gal talking to themselves with multiple accounts.
    • Shopping? His family is loaded and he's 6'6 I'm pretty sure he could start anywhere in upper East TN,So no need to shop. Word is Witten got caught trying to work him out on campus and some 7 on 7 while playing athletics for Sullivan East. Word got around pretty quick and Someone turned them into TSSAA.
    • Quick update on Jacob -  Jacob celebrated his 16th birthday at Vanderbilt on Tuesday and has been in decent spirits.  His sense of humor has begun to show as he was visited by many friends.  He is swallowing a lot better now and has eaten some of his favorites (Chik-Fil-A and Five Guys).   He is getting prepared to head to Atlanta to the Shepherd Center first thing tomorrow morning.  His family has been waiting on insurance approval. In case you dont know the Shepherd Center it a world class facility and supposedly one of the best in the country for spinal injury rehab.  Praying for perfect results there. Considering the circumstances, Jacob is in decent spirits.  He has some reflexive movement in his legs which I think is probably a very positive sign.  Don't read too much into that just yet as there is no telling what the real prognosis is... just hopeful that is good thing.  I am really just happy that it seems like he has a punchers chance of getting something back.  He is a strong young man and very determined so I think he will fight as hard as he can in physical therapy while down in Atlanta. More than one of you has asked me about an address to send donations.  I know GoFundMe isn't for everyone.  If you want to go that route, you can make a check to "Blackman Wrestling Club" and we will pass anything received directly to the Kinderdines.   Jacob Kinderdine c/o Blackman Wrestling 4836 Trevino Court Murfreesboro, TN  37128 Also, want to thank everyone who has donated so far.  Jacobs dad will take a month off work and stay in Atlanta with him.  They need to learn how to take care of him and do home therapy work..... and surely Jacob will be glad his dad can be there.  All that could not happen without you all.  Depending on what happens, they will probably end up doing some home remodeling in order to accommodate Jacob at their home.  Thanks again. Here's a pic I lifted from Facebook of Jacob on Oxy talking to his Uncle.  LOL
