33-14 Fairview final score.

Nice adjustments coaches and players! :thumb:

Good game Heritage. Thanks for having us.

Hats off to Fairview, y’all have a good team. I will say, the officials decided they needed to get into the game in the 2nd Half.  Heritage had a TD called back because of a bogus hold call. #10 for the Patriots cleaned that LB’s Clock. It was a clean block!  Funny how Heritage had 0, yes ZERO penalties at the half.

What does the block have to do with the holding call? It was a blindside block that wasn't even called. The penalty was for holding which was occurring every down in the second half after Fairview got into rhythm. I did hear you celebrating the block over the PA though. Congrats for that. Glad no one was hurt there.

The refs were very slouch with spotting the ball but it was on both sides.

Good luck to Heritage the rest of the way. You guys are going to have a dogfight for spot #4 with Stewart County.

No Sir. The block by #10 was called holding. He was no where near the ball either. He was downfield in the middle of the field and the ball was ran to the right. If it was a blindside block, it would have been the 15 yard variety. The official signaled holding. It’s unfortunate, because that was when Heritage was in the game. You must be thinking of a different play?

Does it really matter? That call wouldn’t have changed the outcome of that game right?

If they are on Stewart counties level they are going to take a beating when they play WH and Waverly!

    • As I said somewhere earlier in the thread, the original plans had no outdoor athletic facilities being part of the campus.  The original plan was for HVA to use facilities at nearby schools.  Very late in the process they came up with a plan and found budget to have minimal facilities and crammed them in to space that never was intended for athletic facilities.
    • Agreed, the way the field is turned you get the evening sun blasting right into the press box making filming a nightmare there, plus its so low.  The field is land locked and parking is a nightmare too. Seems like Knox County could have done a lot better there with the design and the quality.
    • I think this upcoming team may be pretty good, they will definately be better up front and if they can replace Dozier, Heyward and Rembert, they can be real good. They have the same strange schedule, but this time with 5 straight home games. The road games at Jeff County, Powell will be tough to open up with and the back side at Bearden is the tough game there.  One question I had if anyone knows: There has been some talk of an indoor practice facility in the past, with the new track area now more of a track area, that kind of leaves a need for a football practice area. Just sayin....
    • I find it hard to believe that 70% of a schools enrollment is zoned for another school district
    • I was told that the indoor facility is happening regardless of the vote on the taxes but it would be a much bigger project with more funds if they vote goes through
