That stings, gotta go with Oneida.

After seeing Rockwood last Friday my pick was Oneida, definitely makes it even more of a confident pick if that news holds to be true. Rockwood let Harriman do a bit of damage in the first half that was surprising. They won’t get away with that against Oneida.

No they can't just score at will against Oneida, points will come at a premium.

Unfortunately seeing how their offense does under pressure wasn’t an option as Harriman practically let them score at will on Friday. I really won’t be surprised at either outcome of this game but all signs for me point to the Indians.

Rockwood still has weapons but getting the ball may not be so easy. Oneida seems to be improving every week, at 1st they were absolutely killing themselves, looks better lately.

How is their secondary? Our pass game has came along pretty good. 29-43 for about 250 the last 2 games. Not an air raid but we’re not seeing many 8 man boxes anymore. Definitely helps the run.

Oneida by a few scores. I’m looking forward to the Monterey vs Oneida match up. That will be a good one.

I think us and Monterey could potentially be a very close and low scoring game. If Rockwood gets lulled easily then we may be able to hurt them with the deep ball. We go for the home run ball in some unpredictable situations and most of the time they’re open, we might not always connect but getting better at them. Complete or not it keeps our 6 from having to block 9 when we do run so still a success. Don’t know if we can get them by a few scores or not, haven’t saw them yet so just going off of what others are saying.

I think this ultimately comes down to who makes the first mistake. It seems like both of these teams so far this season either underperform or overperform depending on the circumstances. Rockwood can't make mistakes on the road and can't allow the big play. You can't cheat up and stack the box anymore and that gives Oneida an edge they haven't had before. Oneida has to prevent Rockwood from getting going downhill and grabbing any kind of momentum early. Should be a fun matchup! The two schools have always been very similar in their situations whether it's coaching or the community.

Spot on. Especially not being able to load the box anymore. It’ll be another great game as it always is.

Ok usually I say Oneida by 7 or more.Well I'm feeling a 21 point win in this one.Rockwood wont be able to move the ball on the ground and will be lulled into the pass game and that will be their biggest problem.Oneida will stay methodical and try for the big one every now and again but there bread and butter will be that big line on both sides of the ball running it and stopping THE run.Go Indians!

    • From my understanding, Jay Graham pretty much took over HC responsibilities in that game, so you can thank him. Cute Andy didn’t need help, though. Cute Andy could’ve beaten us without any assistant coaches.
    • Tax payer dollars are paid for certified teachers to "teach" and then coach. The primary job is to teach.  There are some district that ay awesome supplements and others that don't. Dyersburg and Dyer County are pretty close if I remember correctly. I would imagine that Football and basketball are above $10,000 now.  I've heard that Milan is $20,000 for boys basketball. I would imagine that football is more than that in Milan.  Collierville has camps that coaches get paid extra for. 3 camps a year, 100 kids a camp, $30,000 right there.  There are places like Memphis-Shelby County schools where the supplements are garbage even for the head coaches. I made less than $3,000 as the head assistant at Germantown in 2015 when we were 26-4 and one of the best teams in the Southeast. As a head middle school coach next year I will make between $4-5,000 at a municipal in Shelby County.  Coaches should be compensated for the jobs that are required but lets keep in mind that they are educators first.  It's pretty frustrating to other teachers that work their tale off teaching 6-7 classes a day to watch someone roam campus, not teach (or have very minimal responsibilities), and get paid the same (more with supplements) as a person who has the some years of experience or sometimes less.
    • This will get coaches leaving the profession very quickly if this kid wins this case. This is absurd...
    • yeah money aint right there anymore
