After having 3 touchdowns turned around for penalties in the same drive, Fayetteville beats Cornersville and the refs 18 to 8

Will say that on the pick 6 Fayetteville flag was every bit of warranted just stupid by to crack block it’s called at every level. They had couple just self inflicted plays but with that being said tho there was way to many calls vs Fayetteville def in crunch time they had a 1st & 40 literally gain 40 yards then they throw a flag they tried hard to give Cornersville a chance. Not only that but how do you call a flag on a lineman who pancakes someone? If and should’ves but if Fayetteville doesn’t throw the pick Cornersville doesn’t even score.

Cornersville should have won this game. Fayetteville is not well coached at all, they look like a 6A team and play like a a good 1A team and wouldn’t say a great one. Fayetteville also deserved every penalty they got and I still don’t believe they got as many as they should have gotten.

And yet, they didn't. The offense didn't score at all. At least 5 trips to the red zone and they were shut out by Fayetteville's defense.

And yet we still got the win.  To say we're not well coached is a remarkably ignorant statement.  Putting #7 in the wildcat, and w/ CV coaches knowing we use him in short yardage situations and still not being able to move their pieces into place to stop him is not good coaching.  Not being able to stop him on at least two scores (that got called back) is not good coaching and just not good football.  To say we didn't get called on some penalties is ridiculous.  What about the two times CV broke the huddle w/ 12 players?  Not called.  Free Pass for the Frog Bottom Boys?  I guess that gets called only when it's not at CV.  The personal foul hit out of bounds on the CV fans' sidelines.  Late flag b/c the fans were yelling for it.  The roughing the passer foul on City when the QB was going down and knees were on the ground?  The pancake block that?  Bottom line @BossDog  you can believe what you want, and we the Tiger fan base will believe what we want.  We were all there and we all agree the refs could have done better. When it's all said and done, we have bragging rights for a year and maybe both of us will be able to play the re-match this year.  It wasn't pretty, and it wasn't a blowout, but our games usually aren't. On the positive side, you guys didn't resort to WWF moves.

CV did have a player ejected for throwing punches, Varo.  Maybe they were going more for MMA this year!

Not at all lol. Fayetteville is undisciplined when they actually start to get hit. Everyone knows that

Still not enough to take them over the top.  Their offense needs to put points on the board to make it past the first round later on. Kudos to the safety for the pick six though.  And their two point conversion/misdirection play to notch their only points for the night. Other than that, 3rd and long every possession.

Fayetteville shouldn’t even have a close game all year. Y’all are basically Lincoln County high school playing 1A ball. But here we are barley escaping beating 1A Cornersville. Kuddos to the Cornersville kids they fought all night long making Fayetteville earn everything they got. They haven’t been hit like that all year long.

The most important, game-impacting stat for this game was Fayetteville's success stopping Cornersville on 4th down. It seemed like Cornersville was like an ocean wave trying o batter the shore. Drive after drive they got deep in Fayetteville territory only to be turned away. Fayetteville stopped them on 5 of 6 4th down attempts, and the only successful conversion was the one late in the game where the player was stopped short but the refs called a penalty that gave them the first down. 5 out of 6 stops on 4th down will win close games with that kind of defense.
