FYI: There is only AA and A now.  AA = AAA going forward.  Below is the new big school alignments.  As I see it Region 1 is absolutely decimated.  Neither DB or SH plays any role come the end of the year.  DB lost their four medalists and SH is well, I don't know.  I do know Dempsey transferred to DB from SH and that hurts not to mention asst. coach Caleb Myers left SH for greener pastures.  So this year is a battle between Cleveland and whatever talent exists on the west side of TN (which isn't any different than last year).  Jefferson lost their four best wrestlers as well.

edit - I see that SD dropped, wow that surprised me almost as much as seeing Kenny Oliver's Hustlin' TIgers in AAA.

I still don’t understand why soddy dropped down. They are one the bigger schools in Hamilton county. Maybe they wanted to get away from cleveland and Bradley during region/state? Because I’m pretty sure we both will still wrestle them in the regular season.

I seriously doubt that Soddy just dropped down a classification.  More than likely the enrollment at Soddy is lower than most people would think.  There is nothing that says you can’t be in a lower classification but compete in duals against teams in a higher classification.

I was just talking to McTorry today about all of the rezoning going on across the state. His son is at Nolensville now, but rezoning has done a number on some programs and changed their culture from what they had before. He said his alma mater (Overton) got hit hard with that and hasn't been the same since.

MNPS is and has been open zoned if a student provides their own transportation to and from school. Even in the 70’s you could attend any MNPS if you wanted to take a class that your zoned school did not offer.
