Coach Rebstock has been with Coach Smith for all 61 of his career wins as a head coach and all 22 losses. They also coached together at their alma mater for a year. They are childhood friends and high school teammates. They were both wide receivers, but Rebstock converted to the defensive side of the ball his first year at Germantown. It was a learning curve for an offensive minded person, but he took to the task and has gotten better every year. Coming from four years at Memphis, this staff had to adjust from facing a lot of wide open offenses to more triple option and wing stuff. It was always a dream for these two to coach together as youngsters and they are living it.

This is awesome!! They definitely can coach! I hope they plan to stay for a looonng time!! With the new Ford plant, Haywood will only get larger.

BTW, I just wanted to say thank you to whoever helped provide the live stream video for the Tomcat/Hornets game Friday night!! The footage was good and the commentators were nice to listen to! (Even though they were hornets!  lol)

I believe this game is certainly the game of the week for the rural W. TN area. I kind of thought about nominating the Peabody, Huntingdon game, but it just does not have the history that this game does.

Shucks, what do I say.... It was a labor of love I guess you could say. Thanks for the kind words. I do, appreciate them. I was very fortunate to have some great people in the box with me for many years!

Don't know God's plan for me, but I figured my home was in the press box every fall Friday for a while....
