And maybe that winning feeling would spill over to the younger players, bubble players and bubble fans and start to turn it around. It begins with an attitude. It begins with confidence. Actually Boone fans are quite faithful rain or shine. But... When you start a season hoping for 5-5 it's not very inspiring. It would be so nice just once to have a schedule where every game is winnable, and then if you lose some, oh well, nobody to blame except ourselves. Heck why don't we just schedule Maryville and Alcoa next year, and punt our off week and travel to middle TN and play Oakland.... No, wait, let's do Brentwood Academy while we're at it. Okay, enough whining, it's game day #GoMusketBowl

It won’t leave you anywhere near ready. Another thing, the gates are huge for Elizabethton, Science Hill, etc. West Ridge would have been another huge gate. It would behoove you one day to look at the math on home ticket sales vs things that get done at Boone aside from football. Lots of money. So, football guru BC16 won't get to see us be beat like a drum? That's the attitude that causes every Hampton fan and player to salivate, every couple years, at the thot of this game being played. Win or lose doesn't matter... Oh! just to play it! Sad the two couldn't agree on a schedule back in '15-'16 too. That would've been fun wouldn't it? But the only thing y’all would salivate over if the game of football was played between the two would be a hamburger at the concession stand. No comparison. Tab
In 2016 Hampton lost to Happy Valley and gave up 74 points to Austin East. In 2015 Hampton gave up 55 to Marion County. So looks like back then Hampton had no defense. In 2016 Elizabethton lost to Alcoa 17 to 14 in 3rd round. So how looking at games played would Hampton even keep it close? Actually went 13-1...AE didn't score close to 74 on that team either. We lost to MC and score was lopsided due to an injury we sustained in the 1st qtr. But that's life in lil 2A Hampton football.
