Today at 2:30 PM the Lawrence County girls' volleyball team takes on Dyer County at Rockvale in what would normally be an exciting state tournament match.
 
However, Mark Fields, youth baseball coach and amateur race car driver in Lawrenceburg, was shot last Wednesday in an argument with a neighbor. He died yesterday, Monday. His daughter, #11 Carley, played in the Lawrence County-Waverly sectional volleyball last Thursday and is supposed to play today in the state. Whether she will or not is, of course, up to her and her family. I don't see how she could but...
 
Her father was very supportive of her and the school. He worked for the Lawrenceburg Utility System and was a much-loved and admired man. Please keep his family, and in particular his daughter, in your prayers this week.
