Clarksville NW (1-8, 0-4) vs Springfield (7-2, 4-0)

The Clarksville Northwest Vikings come to Springfield High to play the Yellow Jackets.  The Jackets need to stay focused and win out.  Should be a good game for playoff prep

We could do to NW what Kenwood did but we won’t. We are classier than that and will play freshmen most of the second half. Jackets by as much as they want. 
That being said, I’d love to see us come out and work on our passing game in real game situations.

100%! Need to work on the passing game before playoffs and not just trying to throw the deep ball. Slants and out routes and across the middle to the TE, which is usually a very good play for us.

This is certainly the game to work on anything you want.  Will definitely give any team confidence going into the playoffs.  Just hope it isn't false confidence.

That is my fear, jackets get false confidence, our Region is down this year.  There is only one other team in our Region with an overall winning record besides us, Kenwood at 5-4.  We will need to step up our play once the  playoffs start

Kind of feel sorry for NW kids....getting drilled every wk in a collision sport. Tuff!

It has been a while for them too.  You would think with that many students they would be able to have occasionally a good team

Ironically, the last time I think they had a “decent” team……Johnny O was their head after he left Springfield. I could be wrong, but I know he had a team or two that won a few ballgames.

Their SR class will go 7-31 during their tenure

2009 was the last time they fielded a decent team. Went 7-4 and finished 2nd in the old 10-AAA before falling to Gallatin in the playoffs.

09 was my son’s freshman year.  That sounds right.  John would have been their coach then too
