There's a lot of interesting changes in these rankings this week. McKenzie is still way ahead of the rest. Gville dropped around 50 spots and around 10 points after playing RBS. Coalfield is ahead of Gville despite losing to them. SP dropped a lot after losing to Oakland. Only 7 points separates 2 through 9. I think as a whole the 1A teams are ranked higher than normal.

20 McKENZIE                                   9   0   0    92.87   131.62

78 CLAY COUNTY                                9   0   0    84.71   118.04

83 COALFIELD                                  7   2   0    91.16   117.00

86 FAYETTEVILLE                               8   1   0    97.81   116.98

93 GORDONSVILLE                               8   1   0    99.94   115.54

105 PEABODY                                    7   1   0    96.72   113.72

I would switch Coalfield and South Pittsburg.  I would also switch you guys and Clay.  Peabody should be higher too.

Dont read too much into Peabodys numbers...

In their 8 games starters have played 4 qtrs. in 3 of those games. Two games with 6 minute quarters and running clock by coaches agreement after the half and 4 games that starters were out at halftime.....   One of those games with the short quarters and running clock, the Peabody offense never even touched the field in the 2nd half,  kickoff was returned for a score and the opponent kept the ball the entire 2nd half, including running the clock during timeouts, also in that game we deferred our 2nd half of option of receiving kickoff to kicking off to them again...

Didn't see Middle College listed unless I over looked it.Plus Gleason being ranked above  Lake Co with Lake Co playing Haywood and Trenton and Union City. What a joke.

It's not who you play, it's the results of who you played,  Gleason would lose to those teams you mentioned also...... No doubt you guys are probably better than Gleason but if you only scored 8 points in the 1st half against Halls, you're not as good as you want to think you are..... You've got 5 guys that could play for any 1A or 2A team in the area, after that your depth is going to be an issue...

Given the two point addition for home field advantage, that puts Clay County at 118.04 and Gordonsville at 117.54, meaning Friday's contest is a virtual toss up. I would say the rankings got that aspect correct. Although, I do not believe that Clay County should be #2. McKenzie, Peabody, Fayetteville, and South Pitt should all be ahead of Clay County in my opinion.
